Thanks Carmela, I am just learning how to use this site. I will explore your album soon. I am trying to write a grant app. I just pop in here on breaks... the chocolate has run out. Time to make supper. Cheers.

Kete Whakaio  2015

Digital image printed with Epson Ultra-Chrome K3 pigment inks on handmade flax/abaca paper, machine stitched onto a textured cotton twill fabric. (16"x23") Kete Whakaio, means 'a fine weave' in the Maori language. There are several kinds of Flax plants in New Zealand that play an essential role in the Maori culture. Flax plants grow to 12 feet in height. There is a spiritual aspect to a good fine weave. It is believed that artists are mediums through which the Gods create.

Nelson, New Zealand, 2011.
