The "Cydonian face" is the infamous face-like illusion photographed by the Viking mission to Mars. The image used in this piece is not from Mars or any space mission, but another facial illusion from a painting I made. The human mind has an incredible ability to see patterns, of faces for example, in random collections of visual objects.
