    Jonathan,
Is that you? So I moved down south about a year and a half ago. What you doin' these days?

  • Steve Random

I hear you all too well, I'll send a cd of the first 50+ years of my work if you're interested. I'm curious to see your paintings, I'll check out your site. The irony is I moved to NC in Nov '07, prior to that I was in Marlborough, Ma for 11 years and worked in Watertown. I just saw Reed at the Marginal Arts Fest in Roanoke Va, nice to see he's one of your friends, he's great. Nice part about this is the us gov dosen't tax us, yet.
  • Steve Random

All is well, I think, one never really knows. My latest complaint is that in my youth the work couldn't get done fast enough, these days I labor over pieces, sometimes for years. But, the work is alot better. I'm not at my records of whom I sent the cd to, but would've checked before I sent.

The photo of Pittore is from 1989. I lived at the yurts 88-90 and saw Carlo almost everyday, my girlfriend (future 2nd wife) gave me the ultimatum to move out of Maine, which I did. The old clown that he was, he could also be very surly. At a recent beatification of CP everyone was portaying him in too sweet a manora and a friend reminded everyone that he was more garlic than sugar.
  • Steve Random

Jonathan, Funny that CJKid would have called it Harmonic Networking, he tried to steal all rights to some of my images and got pissed at me, called me and yelled at my wife. He and I have not talked since. Did you get out back to the yurts? Did you stay in one? I lived in the flat roofed one for a year + then moved in directly above Carlo that ended up where he held his Academy, most of the sliding door was was doing - the hand, etc.
  • Rod Summers / VEC

Hi big chair person, I think we are friends from another network, Open fluxus if my memory serves me correctly! Thanks for following the Venice blog.
I am thinking of visiting Anna as it is only a couple of hours in the train and i can't finish the audio work I am making here until it rains... which it hasn't done, or at least it did for one day but i was busy doing something else and forgot to record it... and i need that sound... well, whatever i will certainly pass on your hugs.

    Hey Jonathan,
    R U going to Germany for Peter Kustermann's festival, July 30 -Aug.2nd?
  • buZ blurr

Well, I emailed Kustermann I would, and he hasn't responded to the affirmation, now I'm wondering if I should rescind the decision, and stay home on the porch where it's relatively safe, and await people to send me keys to Fill The Ford (Fully) Folly. Yes. that project is still ongoing.
  • buZ blurr

Yes, they stayed here for three days, and enjoyed the respite from their journey in this quiet village, I think. I drove them to a Decentralized Networker Congess in Memphis, where they even went to Graceland, and then continued their journey on Amtrak.
  • Reid Wood

re the show in NYC in September. It's a project at the Emily Harvey Gallery that Matthew Rose put together, based on Ray Johnson's Book About Death. I do plan to be there for the opening, so yes, I'd love to see you again ... it's been a while.
  • Reid Wood

Try this link ... it works-

  • buZ blurr

Sorry to hear you won't be going to Germany. I really can't afford to go either, but looks like I'm committed
  • buZ blurr

Yes, I survived The Faux Postmaster Minden Tour, and returned to Surrealville exhausted. Met some new (to me) artistamp makers, and enjoyed the trip despite the absence of showers (might retitle this tour as He Got Gamey in Germany), and the 132 stairs to the top of the steeple sleeping accommodations @ BUZ Culturalcentreum.
Supposedly have A Book About Death postcards on their way here, and will forward them to N.Y.
  • Steve Random

    jonathan,
somewhere I have a rough cd of carlo singing the two seasons in Maine and some other things. Want a copy? I never got around to cleaning it up or dividing it into tracks. I heard CP sing that song on many occasions but with those sweet memories are some very sour ones also. Such is life.
    Steve
  • Steve Random

The cd is on my to do list and should be on it's way within a few days, I didn't get an invitation for the 'book on death' show, but it sounds like alot of peephole are planning on attending.

  • Steve Random

Thanks alot for the info, and the euro time is abit confusing.
  • Steve Random

I see my last posting didn't make it, oh well, glad you're enjoying the cd. I have many fond memories of being an actor in many of Carlo's answering machine messages. Very funny stuff.

A tribute for the city of Portogruaro through a project involving art through mail. The keywords chosen as the theme are the motif of its foundation, joined in a common flow.

    Limit
