    I forgot to tell you about etching! It is a very old printmaking process--I like to take my old etchings and tear them down to postcard size then paint watercolor over the top. In etching you can only really make lines, but aquatint is a way to make shades.

    my aunt is dying from...MS?

    something like that - she can't swallow very well right now and they're thinking of putting her on hospice.

    my grandparents have been taking care of her for a while now, since her husband divorced her a couple years ago.

     

    it's not easy for them. :-/
