I can't believe it, yet another member from my city!! How do I not know you, Sue? Do you know Dan Mouer? He's doing an exhibit of Mail Art at ArtSpace in the fall. Send him something!

Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. When you joined IUOMA on April 10 I was unable to welcome you on board.  At the time I was in a Celestial Journey far beyond the Milky Way. Now, back to planet Earth, I´d love to be the other end if you wish to trade mail art with a celestial mail artist. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

    The Celestial Scribe

    Terrene Embassy

    Republik van Patland

    Caixa Postal 24827

    Curitiba-PR

    80510-970

    Brazil

I look forward to see a piece of yours in our terrene mailbox. I´ll do my homework after receiving your artwork. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.

  • Dan Mouer

WooHoo! Another Richmond mail artist! Great to "meet" you, Sue.
  • Dan Mouer

    Sue,

I love the card you sent, and I would love to have your permission to use it in my September show at artspace called "This is Just Mail Art."  I've documented the piece in this album: http://iuoma-network.ning.com/photo/albums/more-just-mail-art

Please let me know, and if you'd like to contribute more to the show, please do!

  • Dan Mouer

    Sue,

I want to thank you for the wonderful mail art, the poem that spoke so eloquently about life, love and lost.  The lovingly kind thoughts of a stranger make this a special piece for me.
