As you have not seen fit to join us in the world of fakebook, I had to come directly to you here at IUOMA to share my Rustpo finds of the day. Know that you are consistently in my thoughts, Dear Friend! ENJOY!

  • Lynn Radford

:D Will be sure to share more with you as they are uncovered. The current rains are keeping me from my trash-aelogy dig, but I hope to return this weekend. Hope you are well and Making Art Every Day!

Got your wonderful mail art my friend!!!! You have not veered of the course of your art! Hope you are well, always a pleasure to correspond with you!!!

  • Carmela Rizzuto

Hi Nancy--Recently I picked up my mail art and found your collage, 'above the fray'. Thank you for remembering me. I have admired your art and am delighted to be the recipient of one of your treasures. It will be added to my IUOMA photo stream and be blogged soon at http://decordisart.blogspot.com/

The 1966 Polish Millennium stamps and the  others that you used were a surprise. I had to look up the Polish stamp and was impressed with the history of the country that it commemorates and am sending you the link just in case.

You guys okay out there? I've seen some scary videos of the flooding.

  • Thom Courcelle

Uh-oh, looks like someone's having a birthday. Have you dried out from the storms last week? It'd be awful if it was too wet to light the candles on your birthday cake!! (I also hope no one is leaving your birthday cake out in the rain… wasn't that a song?!!)

Wow, Nancy -- thank you so much for the 3-scrapper! Your work is just completely amazing. I love the text (which I have to try to read) and the layers of torn paper, the ink and paint--everything about these is wonderful. Your envelope is groovy, too. And Happy Birthday!

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

    I'm honored, Nancy!

Thx NBS. FAB new work. Already getting a great response.

  • De Villo Sloan

NBS, I'm glad you like them. Keep them if that's how it goes.

Asemic Front is going to work and it's going to be more than collabs, so no pressure there.

My problem is I don't know how to make an unfinished piece. All the collab foundations I'm making end up being finished pieces.

So I would very much like to use your work in some form in AF. So maybe it will be collabs or some other format.

But it will work out. Thx for the message, DVS

Nancy Bell!  What a loverly surprise to find your envelope in my mail box.  I knew it was yours immediately.  Isn't it interesting how we can recognize the "voice" of our mail art pals?  Loved the beautiful little three-scrappers.  They make me want to get back to my happy art fun room--soon, soon, soon.  Thanks so much.

  • Chorianopoulou Maria

Howdy, Nancy. I'd love to show the Fikasso but that was years ago and I've no clue where it may be today. Probably composting in a landfill somewhere. YOB-f PS. I think that 'lope was the one in which you sent the asemic piece I admired.

  • Ficus strangulensis

and speaking of envelope contents incompletely recognized... I just found a response from Jim Leftwich from 2004!!! I'm afraid to look and see if I responded to it earlier!

nancy bell scott!!  your works sliding out from their darksome envelope....what gifts...  such loveliness!  had to unearth and read aloud the whole poem!  many thanks.

  • Terry Owenby

Nancy, I can't tell you how excited I am to be the proud owner of some of your gorgeous minimal ink pieces! I am in love with the simplicity and tiny bits of color. I keep staring at them, wondering what message I can take from them. They appear to have a mystique about them, if only I could grasp it. I can't thank you enough for your kindness. I will repay with something...something not nearly as good as your work, mind you. :-) I will scan and post your pieces eventually but doing that usually takes me awhile and I wanted to at least get this thank you sent!

Thank you Nancy for the lovely scrappers that I received today - they are beautiful, I really love the concept and the execution.

I am a little embarrassed that I accidentally bombarded you with two mailings.  I can't remember where I left my memory, I think it was last seen in my 40s, sigh..
Anyway, thanks again - totally love your work!

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Nancy, your work honestly takes my breath away. Thank your for the FOUR 3-scrappers! So delicate, they're like flowers or leaves. I love them.
