Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I have been a mail artist for more than 20 years. I make mail art using rubber stamps, mostly zines. My latest zine is Missives from Absurdia. it is a collections of toons and tomfoolery. If you love the original RSM when it was all about the madness, and if you do too. then let's exchange art.

PS: My IUOMA avatar is a life mask of me as Gaia, Earth Goddess. I used seed pods, snakeskin, feathers, bone animals and semi-precious stones, as well as other decorative items.

Melissa, this is a friendly welcome to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist born and raised in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland.  A perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time for you to start trading art. If that’s the case at the time, your envelope should read as follows:

    The Celestial Scribe
    Caixa Postal 24827
    Curitiba-PR
    80510-970
    Brazil

II look forward to see your piece in my terrene mailbox.  Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours.  This is nothing less than a celestial promise.  I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.

Check out my group Show us your Artspace,it's got a rubber stamp storage page, I'd love to see your rubber stamp storage!!!! Oh, and welcome!! ;-)

  • vizma bruns

Good idea! I only have a couple of spares at the mo. One is an eye with an arrow through it. I think it was from Silver Crow. I've bought some of their Grab Bags on etsy. Is that how you buy?

  • vizma bruns

Gee, I don't even know what sort...um, funny ones, weird, offbeat, definitely nothing cutesy!

Just noticed a possible typo on your profile, is it meant to be starry? Although Stary eyed also makes sense!

  • Lancillotto Bellini

Melissa, you could send my a rubber stamp impression of yours... I'll send you one of mine...My mail address is on my iuoma page...

    Happy 2013!

    Deck the Hulls!

Loved your Christmas mail--thank you! Will send something next year. I'm working up a number of postcards to send off in the next few weeks.

  • Patricio - The Celestial Scribe

Melissa, I just returned from an out-of-earth experience. The terrene mail box was full of bright ideas, envelopes, creativity and post cards.  Your card was seated there since dec 25.  The Jackson-Curitiba gap is being bridged handsomely, thank you!  It´s time for me to keep the celestial promise made to you last year.  I´ll keep you posted.

  • Patricio - The Celestial Scribe

Earthling or not, please be aware that this morning a hummingbird on celestial mail service left City of Peace, the capital city of Republik van Patland, a tiny point in the universe where this scribe comes from.  The Postbird faced Planet Earth in a celestial mission. The objective is to deliver a heaven certified mail artwork kindly produced just for you by one of our celestial mail art masters.

Keep the sky of Jackson under close observation. Celestial messengers – all of them – tend to show up when nobody expects them. The opportunity is propitious for you to see, first time ever, a Postbird on heavenly service if you wish to. Have luck! Keep me posted.  Scribe

Hi Melissa--The envelope decorated with the 'Ladies of Inspiration and Creativity' arrived last week and I finally figured out who it was from. It was worth waiting for! Loved the quote from Man Ray. The pop-up enclosure was a delightful gift. The stamps made from 100proofpress are quite a find! I'll be documenting it soon on Mypage IUOMA and at http://decordisart.blogspot.com/

PS: I'm glad your life is returning to normal--creating art is very healing. Thanks for remembering me.
