i'm loving the carving - but I have no more access to rubber - its not avail in the right size in SA - that last lot was sent to me from Japan. im going to try with lino - but so far it seems too hard

  • Petrolpetal

A whole rubber stamp shop - wow! The rubber I was kindly sent from Japan looks like this: (it is blue on the other side) - but to be honest I would be grateful for anything bigger than a school size eraser- the carving bug has bitten me! Thanks!

  • Petrolpetal

    will do! Thanks!

  • De Villo Sloan

Wow, yeah Rick - it's great. Really nice of you. I'll be sharing it with the folks soon.

  • De Villo Sloan

Another home run, Rick. Thanks. You've helped make it a great m-a year. Regards, DVS

    Hi BF!

Things has gone real slow here due to kindergarden viruses, this will turn around for the better soon. Some of the carvings I have already disposed (I know, it was stupid, but did not thought they should be useful). Others are sent away as gifts. But the ones I still got (one or two) will be posted on white card paper and new ones will be made in dark evenings of december.

    Until later.. EH

    Dear Rick,

That is our Beemer. And we love him. He is a big lug. Not fat, just BIG.  My email address is lfayefrench@gmail.com. We'd love to see pictures of another tuxedo cat.  --Linda

  • Petrolpetal

Hooray! Your mail arrived! The stamp is fantastic - I'll be blogging it all soon!

  • Linda French

Mail-art to you left today.  --Linda

  • De Villo Sloan

Received the bottle gram, Rick. Thanks for everything and especially the great holiday stuff.

  • De Villo Sloan

Rick, Richard Canard sent me a kinda flattened bottle, but yours is the first I can remember seeing that made it through whole. Gotta admit I didn't know that would work.

BTW - got some m-a from Ravenna, Italy addressed to Bro Sloan & the Church of the Right Now. You got some Italian connection? I'll show you when I get it blogged.

  • vizma bruns

Hey HEY!!! Thanks for thinking of me, Rick, and I hope the New Year brings you plenty of creative energy! X

  • Eraser Heed

Hi BF! The wonderful christmas card has decorated our tree over the holidays. Much appreciated. Was going to send you stuff but the delay is due to lack of rubber... ehum, erasers, -that is the good erasers I use for carving. The store is out of them but will come in soon. I hope you got a happy ending...(;)) and further; a happy beginning! EH

  • De Villo Sloan

Sorry BF, forgot to get back to you on this.

I don't have a working camera. (Ever notice I only use scans?) So I can't get a photo of the bottle, unless you have one. That's what's preventing me from posting that material. I'll try to get the camera working but it's messed up. That's the story. - DVS

  • Petrolpetal

    Thanks for trying! Much appreciated!

Here is a screenpicture taken from a mail art show at the Phoenix art museum. The two guys in the middle seems familiar.

No worries about forgetting me! I'm patient...up to a point, ha ha! The image is of 2 skulls put together, and a few bones added to make a face. Is it a clear enough image? Should I email it instead? It was just an idea I had, to have it as stamps. I'll have to think about text...maybe Mail Art Bonehead, or Evil Bunny Mail...?

  • vizma bruns

Did you see the wine thing I sent to your inbox for your b'day?

  • vizma bruns

Yayayayaaayyy!!! Thanks Rick, you beauty!! I'm looking for a photo of the bonehead...it must be rotting away in a file somewhere...let's just sit on it for a while until I find it, and  work out what I actually want. Thanks mate.

  • De Villo Sloan

Yes BF - received. Many thanks!

  • De Villo Sloan

    Of course I will.

  • vizma bruns

How about TWISTED at the top and bonehead at the bottom?? Pic coming shortly...

    83 or 84 stamps...who's counting? Ha!

  • vizma bruns

    I emailed the image, ok?

  • vizma bruns

Got your postcard today, HA! Thanks Blessed Farmer!!

  • vizma bruns

Still using crappy copies, maybe in Friday's mail... Ever printed stamps on hemp paper? How's the Bonehead lookin'?

  • De Villo Sloan

LOL - only the Blessed Father would be caught offering bribes on the IUOMA main page.

You're w/three postcards right on top of my in box. It was gonna happen tomorrow or the next day anyway.

You don't have to feel obligated with the shirt, although I'd like one.

With all the online surveillance stuff, I can't imagine why you would want that pic posted on the net, but OK. And I'm not responsible if you end up w/a new mug shot.

See you in a bit. Hope all is well, Rick. - DVS

  • vizma bruns

Mail only gets deliv. on Mon, Wed and Fri here... country time. Still not here, I told you I was patient! What's the hurry? Have a good weekend! x

  • De Villo Sloan

  • De Villo Sloan

A tremendously fun blog, Rick - most of your work is that way with some social and political messages in there. My shirt size is medium. Seriously, don't feel obligated. I always have a great time with your work. Your model friend set an all-time record for me. Wasn't it over 2500 views?! Incredible. Take care, DVS

  • vizma bruns

May 6, the stamps have arrived in this third world country! Thank you! What beauties! After looking at the crappy photocopies for so long, I'm impressed beyond belief with these, for a second time!! White or ivory? Hmm, both nice...but leaning more towards the white, somehow it's a little crisper. But honestly, I wouldn't care if you printed them on dunny paper, as long as it was unused.

Thanks also for the bonus rows, I just love the christian mail police, what a hoot! Who's the dag in the picture?

  • vizma bruns

Both envelopes? No, only one received so far...ivory stamps and some extras..(ivory looks stunning on a black envelope too!) Thanks!

  • vizma bruns

Wednesday, white stamps received! Crazy post...I don't get it. Thanks again for doing this for me.

  • De Villo Sloan

Not yet, Rick. I am following the situation closely. -DVS

  • De Villo Sloan

BF, it arrived - including a Minah pic. Thanks. More on this later. -DVS

  • vizma bruns

Arrived! Arrived!! YES!! Twisted, brilliant stamps indeed! They really look amazing! And the spares are a hoot, esp. the Happy Ending ones, ha!! Thanks SOOOO much!!! XXXX PS. Most of Oz gets mail daily!

  • Erin Young

ahahaa i think so. lol are you ready for my equally crappy art? lol

  • vizma bruns

Not quite a city!! Waitpinga is a beach and some farms and that's it. Oh, and a church, if you'd care to visit and deliver a sermon sometime. But yeah, really great stretch of beach for surfing.

  • Erin Young

No I have not, maybe tomorrow. I will send you something tomorrow, I was busy studying for my exam that took place today. :)

  • Erin Young

There is an envelope full of crappy art in the mail with your name on it! Lol

  • Erin Young

I would love it if you could make me some stamps for me :) PM with details
