Profile Information:

Mail-Artist since:
2008
My Website (without http://):

Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
Only sporadically since 2008 and interested in the concept of art traveling, exposed to the elements. ...making art, letting it go and most likely letting it go where I won't.
There in 'spirit' and in the exchange.

I am a collage artist...enjoying working small for the most part and have met up with many artists on Facebook who do not reside in the U.S. Small language barriers, however, art is universal...what a beautiful way to communicate!

(I have a personal page and also an art page on Facebook.)

    Welcome to IUOMA!
  • Bifidus Jones

    Pleased to make your acquaintance!
  • Bifidus Jones

Yes and I look forward to exchanging mail art with you! Have a peaceful day.
  • Bifidus Jones

    Hi Nikki,
Just wanted to respond to your uncertainty about what to do next regarding mail art exchange. Basically, create what inspires you (unless you're contributing to a mail art call with a theme) and send it to someone--for example, me!:) or any of your other friends here at IUOMA. Essentially, if you want to receive mail art, send stuff out. Just have fun!
  • Rachel Fasig

Hi Nikki: I recently joined IUOMA. I have received and sent unexpectedly - it's wonderful! And lots of fun.

I live south of you near Columbus. I bet your mailart would reach me pretty quick (but no pressure). :-D Rachel

  • Bifidus Jones

Just received your mail art--it's wonderful! Thank you! I'll be posting it soon for all to see...
  • Bifidus Jones

Nikki, I'm not sure how to change the clock on this site, but not having the local time makes things here more fun and funky for me. I've made a fool out of myself more than once when I first joined (like accidently sending comments to myself, putting inner thoughts down to see what they look like in a certain font, only to find out I've posted them on the main page, etc.) I'll be sending you something this week. Have a peaceful day...
  • Bifidus Jones

    Glad you like it:-)

    Hi Nikki,

Received your wonderful postcard and just wanted to thank you. Glad my "cat" mail arrived safely.

    Cheers. Louise

  • Louise Kiner

No worries, I know how that is.

    I love postcards.

I've been doing some digital collages and making them into postcards. On my iPhone! Lol!

I just haven't sent them out yet.

    Louise

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Thank you, for the thank you, Nikki! Your 365 "Greek Day" and letter arrived safely?

And I love your cat and the fish, but also this side of the card with cat dancing and a rare Greek stamp. Many thanks.

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

A "shoe box" full of old Greek stamps? how exciting! I have boxes and boxes of US stamps as that was what was on all the 40 years of mail from my friends and relatives. THEY should have Greek stamps...but no one saved them ;-(

Can't wait to see your "SPACE" mail, but, yes we will keep all  "top secret" until after April12. And Space mailing can arrive all through April as some will be first mailing them on April 12th to have that postmark.

    It is a fun project!

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Dear Nikki, I did a  very silly thing this morning. At 07.30 I posted something to you. At 07.35 I bought the stamp to put on the something. The local post office can't (or wont) give it back to me so that I can add the stamp. Now either the something gets returned to me in the next few days (it has my address label on it) or it gets delivered to you, and, if it does, I hope you don't have to pay for it.

Lert me know if you receive it; if you don't in, say, the next couple of weeks, I'll send you another one -- and this time put the stamp on first!

    Apologies! Regards, Val

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Bonsoir! I woke up at 6 for years and ytears and went for an hour's run before work. Now I'm old and injured, and the cats wake me up at 6 and demand to be let out. Fresh bread can be gotten from the bakers from 06.30 and my English newspaper arrives at the local Presse shop at 07.20. So I'm up and about early. And when it gets really hot, then it's sbest to do whatever needs doing early...and then go to the beach.

It's a hard life being a Mail Artist. Regards, Val

    Special Canadian Mission Astronautte to Apollo 2 Commander;

Received your fabulously spaced out card and envelope today.

    My thanks, once again.

    Over and out.

  • Louise Kiner

    That sounds great, Nikki.

I was thinking about making a special folder to keep them in and so I could show them off as well.

  • Louise Kiner

Yeah, I'd love to see it.

I was thinking along the lines of an accordian folded thing with pockets. I'm going to have to think this through, that's for sure.

    Louise

  • Louise Kiner
