    Nope. No nothin'....sigh.

  • vizma bruns

Crazy becheezus card has arrived (last wk)! Makes my head spin!!!! Thanks, I like it- in a creepy cool way! Love the stampings, esp the mail art police one! Hey, did I fool myself into thinking that you'd be sending the actual rubber? "You're going to receive the set of three stamps.."?? I think I did, haha! Ah well, can't complain, you DO send me good shit! Thanks, BF! X

  • vizma bruns

Oh WOW, BF! You are the BF'n best!!!! XXX

  • WA Rodgers

I've been hoping for that treasured GET OUT OF HELL FREE pass since my Catholic School Daze - how lucky for me!

I am interested in making my own stamps (faux postage or otherwise), but I've only made rubber stamps, silkscreen and monotype prints until now....In this regard, I definitely am impressed by some of the work I've seen here, and I'd bet that there's at least one group involved in postage stamp making.

  • WA Rodgers

Somebody who has been here a while might be able to steer us. Nonetheless, I will do some looking around.

  • Amy Irwen

Hi BF...I will email you Cottonwood Dave's address...

  • WA Rodgers

Wow!  Like manna from heaven!  Thanks for the treasure trove of blessings...every inch a delight!

  • De Villo Sloan

Glad it arrived, BF. You can see I'm no stamp artist, so I'm trying to earn that BF stamp. Take care, DVS

  • Dean aka Artist in Seine

    Mentioned here: http://iuoma-network.ning.com/profiles/blogs/katerina-nikoltsou-num...

You can thank and friend me later.

Cross my heart & hope to die,

    Dean

  • De Villo Sloan

Wow, thanks BF. I'll be watching. Gotta build up your file in the M-L archives - great stuff. I'll be in touch. - DVS

  • De Villo Sloan

BF, both cards were waiting in my mailbox today - beautiful stuff. You're being too nice. I'm thinking "mail-art critic" should be my official stamp. The mail-art police is a close second. Thx again

  • De Villo Sloan

BF, you can be sure I'll make good use of that stamp. Part of the problem (what? now we have a problem?) is that I just can't make stamps. So I'm very glad you liked what I sent. Thx again.

My pleasure, BF! Do you like the music? When I saw the ads in the CD cover, I thought of you...I recall a muscle man rubber stamp, yes? And one of the band members was Rick, ha!!

I remember seeing ads in MAD (?) where there was a weakling getting sand kicked in his face at the beach and women flocked to the muscly bully...pffft, great imagery though.

  • vizma bruns

PS. No rubbers hitting the shores here yet.

  • De Villo Sloan

Cool. Do they have any openings? (pun intended)

  • De Villo Sloan

BF, your work is great, but I have no idea why it's getting that kind of attention. I'm glad all the same. It's certainly not the love the mail-art cops have for my charming personality on this site. So I should be thanking you. Regards, DVS

  • Pamela Gerard

thanks for the comments Blessed F. Sparkle aka Vizma. What will I mail you? I will certainly have to think of something good!

  • De Villo Sloan

BF, I am completely mystified - have no idea what or who is behind it. I moved on to other projects a few days ago. Mina (?) - the lady - might want to look into showbiz. She's the "popular girl."

  • De Villo Sloan

Also, I didn't link the blog at Facebook or Google+ (which I usually do) because Moan Lisa has been suspended on those venues for posting "porn" (actually just art w/mild nudity) & I wasn't looking for that heat. The Minxus-Lynxus version has done well, but not outside usual averages.

  • vizma bruns

I don't know what's going on...I sent a large package to NY last month which still hasn't arrived, and 2 in June that never reached Europe. Say a Hail Mail-y for me and bless any future mail coming my way...

  • Pamela Gerard

Dear BF -- oh yes!! I was thinking rubber stamps -- I take anything -- I am greedy like Vizma -- but I would especially love the one with the little man carrying a banner with Pamela Gerard inside the banner...I think you made Vizma on e and Diana Keys also. I will send you mail for sure.....thank you so much...

  • Pamela Gerard

    Sounds perfect! Can't wait.

  • De Villo Sloan

BF - still a mystery. It's going to break all my previous records. I had one Naughty List Bitches blog (DK, KDJ, Vizma, FFA) that went close to 2500. It was an altered postcard from KDJ for a lesbian-friendly motel, no rudeness or nudity whatsoever.

My current thinking is Mina has a stalker or somebody has linked it to a high-traffic site.

Moan Lisa does  visual poetry overlaying letters on "tasteful" nudes. There's so much distortion it's usually hard to identify genitals. Now some of Moan's earlier Fluxus Porn was definitely offensive, but the recent things didn't warrant getting banned or censured. I think even a woman's breast is enough to get you suspended on FB if you don't heed the warnings.

Moan's response on FB was to post Renaissance paintings of the nude baby Jesus, which I thought was pretty funny.

  • Pamela Gerard

OK, BF--thanks. I was just writing the check but I will wait. I am so delighted and can't wait to stamp......

  • jon foster

No worries about posting an image, post if you can and when you can...no worries. I was in your fair city this past summer and went to two of the sketchiest bars on the planet. Anyway, hello!

  • vizma bruns

WOOHOO! Received today-27/8 (and you sent on the 2nd!?) Pheeew! So relieved that they've arrived. Love 'em!!

Was wondering why the blokes at the post office were giving me weird smirks when I picked up the package...I only realised as I exited that the giant sticker on the front said something about individually blessed heavenly condoms...why you little..!!

Hey, why did you spend so much, BF? You can just stick them in an envelope next time, rubber don't break!! Thanks so much for the heavenly RUBBERS!!!! xxx

  • Pamela Gerard

Mail coming my way! Can't wait. I sent you a postcard I made today. Thanks, BF! (I see Vizma got hers...lol....

  • jon foster

We were staying at the hostel right downtown which is pretty...not great. Years before I went to Starr Bar and then found a guy wearing a death metal shirt. He told us to go to some place not sure where, and it was the sketchiest bar I've ever been in. I can't think of the name. It was beside a famous burger joint. By the time we made it to a really good place we weren't sober enough to hang out too long.

  • vizma bruns

I think I'll give them a good wash before I use them... !!

  • vizma bruns

Have you used the rubber from me?

  • Amy Irwen

  • Pamela Gerard

Hi BF--I see I have missed a few questions on IUOMA from you. Funny, I never got an email notice about any IUOMA activity....I sent you a link to the info on the envelopes. You can order flat rate padded envelopes from usps.com. A good deal -- free envelopes with bubble wrap inside and flat rate and yes--five stamps fit. Quite a lot fits inside and I use them all the time for heavy stuff. You get $50 insurance and tracking too. Hope this answers your questions....sorry I missed you....

  • Pamela Gerard

PS -- yes I got your postcard and posted a photo of it too on my page.....see it?

  • De Villo Sloan

Hi Rick, I picked up a postcard from you last week, only I don't think it's Mina. It's in my in-box - will get to you later when I check it again. Best, DVS

  • Alicia Starr

BF, anyone who has sent MA in the past 3-4 years have been included in the exhibit. We have plenty. Will post photos. Opens November 7th.

  • Petrolpetal

Hey! I'm looking forward to your mail! You haven't sent me any rubber stamps so no danger of duplication! Did you receive my filthy limericks??

  • Petrolpetal

OH! OK - got it now...you sent me an envelope with Jesus Loves you Satan is more discriminating and an evil devil on it - plus 2 great stamps: The Christian Mail Police and Benito Mussolini Special Delivery. Inside was an Oxycontin stamp, plus 3 American Luxury stamps, plus 2 Aviator stamps and 3 Boulevard Girls. Last but not least there was a get out of hell free voucher! It is one of the best pieces of mail art I've ever received!!

  • De Villo Sloan

Thanks, Rick, and no worries. I am really looking forward to it. - DVS

  • Eraser Heed

Hi BF, thank's for the appreciation. Some of the carvings are discarded by me but some I really like. It would be very fun doing  a collab. I will go through some of the carvings I got left and mail you photos.

    EH

  • De Villo Sloan

Rick, sorry to report nothing yet. But I haven't been to the PO in a few days. Will try to get there tomorrow. They might be there. -DVS

  • De Villo Sloan

It was waiting there this afternoon. Many thanks - more on this later.
