Thank you for the nice card with the numbers.  I received it two days ago, but have been busy. 

I am doing ok.  I have been working temporary jobs in different offices.  Earlier this week, I began radiation treatments for the breast cancer.  So far, I am doing all right but I have been told that I may get tired later on.  If I start having problems, I can leave a temporary job easier than a regular one.  After radiation is complete, I will start looking for a regular job.

Kim  thank you! your beautiful leaf arrived today; it is a maple leaf isn't it? Do you have many maple trees there? I have a nice one which is covered in red leaves at this moment. I enjoyed the story in the postcard, do you speak French too? I have old French comics in the same style which I love reading even now, for relaxation.

Just received your Singapore card today and love it!  And I am glad that you liked the pictures of me in the hippie Halloween costume as well as the pictures of the blue parrot that I took on my lunch hour.

Hi well you did get me a very nice little story in French somehow. I speak also Spanish and a bit of Italian but none of the Asian languages although once a Buddhist monk taught me some Pali. It was very difficult and I gave up. The same with German, I could not get my mind around the grammar.

Great to hear from you when you were in Singapore!  Will try to send you something soon.

Hi Kim; love your picture and the ones in the leaflet. Once I went to learn Chinese style painting, so beautiful and not difficult after some practise. Now I got an app that imitates it and flowers grow as one paints. Here is my first attempt:

I also downloaded another app which has a 'proper' Chinese brush, without flowers. It is more like the real thing but I will practise a bit before sending you  my efforts.

Once I did a course in Chinese painting, I enjoyed it very much.

Kim, It is the neighbor's cat who checked if there was anything good to eat in the house :) Unfortunately I don't not know the name. When I was a kid I had a cat named Kickan.
