Watch your mail box. . . you have a post card + a very rare sheet of stamps coming.  BF

  • Christine Coppa

    Jay,

Thank you for your friendship and you are most welcome for the valentine.  I was not sure if you were part of IOUMA when I received your collage post card; or I would have thanked you more personally....  Thank you for your art!  Looking forward to trading more mail..... Great idea about a mail art exhibit!

  • The Blessed Father

You should blog the the history of Santa Lucrezia, the stamps will make more sense to people. BF
  • The Blessed Father

Received your stamps. . . very cool. I read something you wrote to someone, that you get sheets that are perforated and somehow line them up. How-in-the-hell do you do that? I

have a perforator, maybe we could work something out. How much do you pay for sheets?

    BF

  • The Blessed Father

We paid $400 for the perforator and an equal amount for shipping from the midwest, shit it must weigh 500 pounds. I like the mini sheets ( I can get 3 or more per sheet), that way I can use a regular envelope.  I sometimes use gummed paper sometimes not but always use a gluestick,  If you want me to perf some stamps, or if you want perfed blank sheets in a size not available to you, let me know  BF

  • The Blessed Father

I did some triangle stamps a few years ago. The first roll was upside down, next row upright,

next upside down etc etc. USPS did some triangle stamps in the 90's, I copied their layout. I'm lucky to have a local rubber stamp manufacture that lets me use their equipment. They use to offer free classes in stamp making. After I design new artistamps, I make a cancelation to go with.  BF

  • The Blessed Father

Out of  curiosity, how much do you pay for blank perfed sheets????? Maybe I can help defer the cost of my 500 pound perforator.  BF

  • The Blessed Father

If you want any cancelations or rubber stamps I can beat the shit out of their  prices, they $39.95 for a custom cancellation. . . Holly Crap. I'll do it for $10 plus postage. I noriced their perforator has a motor, mine is foot operated. Thanks for the info.  BF

  • Rebecca Guyver

  • Cayte Catastrophe

Hello Jay! Thank you so much for the artistamps you sent! I have been wanting to get into making my own for awhile now. Could you share how you make them? Is it comp software? How do you perf your paper? I was thinking about using a sewing machine. Thanks again, perfect time for inspiration!

  • Cayte Catastrophe

Ahhhh, photoshop. If I had the time to learn it I would! I've been on the site you posted. It was the first time I realized artistamps were serious business. After reading a bit I ordered some of this stuff to play around withEver use it?

  • Christine Coppa

Hey there! I received your post card a couple days ago. I've already sent one off for you. There was no postage on your card or any markings, I'm perplexed how it arrived, unless you found a magic way to bypass postage...either way, glad it arrived. Certainly a nice treat to find in my box.

  • Susan McAllister

Thanks, Jay. I love all the stamps.
  • Neil Gordon

Eroticism always had been one of the motors of human being ¿Is it still a motor at the present time? ¿Was it affected by the actual global crisis? Consider the option to work about eroticism as a theme in all the possible ways, the requiered size is suitable to develop it, and it will be interesting to prove how the actual crisis is affecting eroticism in connection with Postal Art.

  • Amy Morton

Jay - I got your nautical cyclops pop-up card yesterday. It is delightful...I love it! I'll get it posted shortly. Thank so much...it is one of my favorites ever! Amy

  • Amy Morton

I blogged and posted photos of your amazing pop-up today.

  • The Blessed Father

Yes, I can make rubber stamps. The stamp will only be as good as the original
art. Original should be black and white. What you emailed me looks like a stencil. Do you want that image or can we substitute a different light bulb and new copy?? Let me know. BF
  • jon foster

Thanks so much for the fold out comic card, great stuff!

  • Ana Karina

Thanks Jay for the surprise pop up card! It was hiding among the catalogs i got in the mail a few days ago.

  • Jan Ketonen

Love the card you sent- very cool! I was intrigued when I saw the clever cancellation method of the post office employed so as not to wreck it- or I assume thats why (a black ballpoint pen!) :). I'm currently working on some stuff to mail out so my work will be visiting your mailbox in the coming weeks! :)
  • David Stafford

    Jay,

A picture of the Fun Factory in 1911.

  • vizma bruns

Hey Jay! I'm a bit confyoooozed. I received your gorgeous tongue aerobics/linguistics stamps- which I love, but I don't know if I've responded, let me know if I sent something or not, otherwise I'll get something to you ASAP!! Cheers! ;-)

  • The Blessed Father

Yes, I can make you 3 stamps. . . is the size ok? The stamps are made out of poltmer, it's a
synthetic rubber. They will be mounted on a padded backing ready to put on the wood block
of your choice. If you want a different size let me know by this coming tuesday. Rick
  • The Blessed Father

Jay, I own a perforator with a good friend. . . it's now staying at my house. If you send printed
sheets of stamps I can perf them for you. You have to understand that that it's done my eyeball
so there can be fuckups. That understood, let be know. I like doing the mini sheets, you can send something special without sending a whole sheet of stamps. BF
  • The Blessed Father

The stamps are on a backing. . . peel off the paper and mount on the wood of your choice. . .
I'm sending you stamps, you have to mount them yourself. BF
  • The Blessed Father

Jay I won't have a chance to make your stamps until next week
  • The Blessed Father

Made your stamps today. . . will mail later in the week. My car is in the shop. . . so maybe Friday. BF
