    Hi! Glad that very special young lady liked it. I look forward to receiving her piece, and I will, of course, reply. Are you going to join in this Prosser to Sigean and back correspondance?? Regards, Val
  • Valentine Mark Herman

    Bonjour Lynda Jo! I've never been called a 'sammitch' before, and am not sure what it is -- one of those Yiddish words that I can never quite work out? An honorary Russian award that comes with a dacha? Or just a sandwich?

    Any which way, I will enjoy being a sammitch for at least today;

    Regards, Croque Monsieur

  • Valentine Mark Herman

    Encore bonjour! Fortunately (or not) we don't have labour Day here in France (I pass up the opportunity to comment on French labour practices here) so can continue to enjoy mustard for now. "Workers of the world unite! You have nothing to loose but your chains," proclaimed marx (not the Groucho one). (I pass up the opportunity to comment on that one too, as i'm not really a worker).

    Four sets of brackets in five lines -- might be a record;

    Regards, Croque Monsieur

  • i thought it turned out ok, but was really surprised at all the love it's gotten, so i decided to do a mass reproduction!

    i may have to do a phase II soon!

    the inspiration is a mix of sucker punch and william gibson.

  • Valentine Mark Herman

    Bonjour Lynda Jo, and bonjour Bella, too! Glad you liked the pages, and I hope the Princess has found her Lost Sock. Nope, I haven't got anything from the two of you recently, so hope it's safe and sound in the post. I have something small and special for Bella to put in my next mailing to you. I'm off to the UK in a few hours time, and won't be back until 13 July, when normal Mail Art service will be resumed;

    Best wishes, le Tour de Val

    great Lynda!  This project is part of the "Mail Art of the Living Dead" - Superhero is the Zombie Leader...on his page there is info on the Zombie Encyclopedia Project - but the jist of it is - do as much or as little as you like....sign your name to the "pass" sheet..find someone to pass it along to...there is literature in the packet that Superhero inserted to get everyone thinking "zombie"...I just received the 1st packet, I think Wednesday... very intimidating...ALL WHITE PAGES!!!
  • happy birthday minus one!!!
  • oh and correction of what amy said:

    i am not the leader of the zombies!

    i swear it!!! ;-D

  • Nancy Bell Scott

    Your work in your photos is just beautiful, Lynda -- very lyrical and expertly done.  I noticed it on my first day here, a few weeks ago.  I'm glad you like the card you pointed out in my photos.  It was one of my first five mail-arts and is much like my "regular" collage work, so I'm pleased you like it and thanks for telling me.

    A Crocked MonSewer writes:

    Bonjour Lynda Jo! Many thanks indeed for the lovely Eagle (?) painted envelope you sent me. It has a 'Return to sender, not deliverable to address, unable to forward' label on the back of it, dated 09/16/11 (did you put it there, or did the Post Office?) BUT it DID get here safely.

    Also thanks for the latter. (1) And for the explanation about your love of PS's (2). Trés drole! (3) and (4).

    Also, and very importantly, please thank Belle for her drawings, story and flower. It's a pleasure to be in contact with both of you.

    I'll be sending something back -- and ask you to forward part of it to young belle -- but it might take me a few days to find something appropriate.

    I hope that the Bear has gone from your head now.

    Regards, Val (6)

    (1) I like footnotes.

    (2) Footnotes to PS's are rare

    (3) This is French for (5)

    (4) I once wrote an article for a journal in which the footnotes were longer than the subject I was supposed to be addressing

    (5) Another excuse for a footnote.

    (6) Whom you cannot return to sender.

  • De Villo Sloan
