My grandmother (Nanoo) began sending me postcards at a very young age, likely as soon as she knew I could appreciate the images and messages. I kept every last one she sent and my postcard collection grew and grew. Decorating by hanging postcards up (as many as I can) is like free art and a whole lot of it. I love postcards as a medium because it is just that: free. it is the most selfless form of art because you create for another and send it off knowing you may never see your work in person again. It puts on display stories and emotions and friendships. And often it creates the most lovely networks of people all brilliant in their own right and driven to create, create, create all these funny little cards. Mail art is the exemplary form of "good things come in small packages". Nanoo inspired me and now I can't stop. So, please, let me send you some love.
Cassandra: it´s a rare opportunity you offer. In order to honour Nanno´s creative path please accept this friendly welcome to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist born and raised in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. A perfect start here is mail-art exchange and I would love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time for you to start trading mail art. If that’s the case at the time, your envelope should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe
Terrene Embassy
Celestial Republik van Patland
Caixa Postal 24827
Curitiba-PR
80510-970
Brazil
II look forward to see your piece in my terrene mailbox. Yes! I will do my homework as soon as I receive yours. This is a celestial promise. I´m Patricio, celestial scribe & envelope provider
Hey Cassandra, Thanks for the friend request, glad you liked the mail art I sent you. I like the 365 group, this is my second year of doing it. I sometimes miss days but doing 365 pieces is still the goal of the year. I'm a little behind in posting on our blog, have been going some traveling. But I hope to catch up next week. Looking forward to trading more art with you this year. Laura
