    Strong, indeed.  My parents lived there until my father's death two years ago.  Mother, now 90, is in a care center in the town where my brothers live.  She can't see and has vascular dementia, but she still knows all of us and still loves a good story and is still interested in the various things I'm doing.  But, yes; they lived on the island for 65 years, and it was never easy.

    Greetings to everyone who has posted on my page!  Thank you for your comments.  I want to let you know that I was out of commission due to something we have all over the US, I understand.  Lyme's disease which is a deer tick born bacteria that is very powerful.  If not caught early, some infected folks find they can't work due to extreme fatigue, joint pain.  It can cause congestive heart failure.  I caught it early--in mid-June.  I am recuperating.  Still in process although yesterday and Thursday (at my class with Claudia McGill), I made huge progress on getting some mail art very much closer to completion and ready to go out.  Thanks for the mail art you have sent me and rest assured, some will be going out from this end soon!  Conserving energy to work is my priority and mail art comes right behind that!  Best to all, Martha

    Hi MWB, thank you! I like blogging about what I receive. Do you mean my own work? Its only humble beginnings, but I post them under photos on my profile page. But mainly after it has been received by the recipient. Having fun with childlike stuff. The Fukushima picture was done digitally - I did that as an "assignment" for Moan Lisa Art Academy. And as you spotted there is a bit of William Blake in it. Do you know Willhelm Busch?
