Hello Jay! Welcome to the Union. I'm the mentor for August. If you have questions that haven't been answered in our new member section, just send me an e-mail and I'll try to answer them for you.
Jay, this is probably the last but certainly not the least welcome to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway Universe called Republik van Patland. I would like to be the other end here at IUOMA when you decide it’s the right time for you to start trading art. If that´s the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe Caixa Postal 24827 Curitiba-PR 80510-970 Brazil
II look forward to see your piece in my terrene mailbox. Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is a celestial promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.
Ah, the mystery of the very interesting mail is solved. Thanks for letting me know the card was from you. I like to let people know when I receive their Mail Art. Your card was very intriguing. My husband and I are artists and art profs and we both enjoyed trying to figure out what process you used. It will be an example in my forthcoming Mail Art workshop at VMFA.
Earthling: This morning a hummingbird on celestial mail service left City of Peace, the capital city of Republik van Patland, a tiny point in the Universe where this scribe comes from. The Postbird faced Planet Earth in a celestial mission. The objective is to deliver a heaven certified mail artwork kindly produced just for you by Cælestis Scriba, today´s most distinguished celestial mail art master of Patland.
Keep the skies of Bridgewater St. University under close observation. Celestial messengers – all of them – tend to show up when nobody expects them. The opportunity is propitious for you to meet, first time ever, a Postbird on heavenly service if you wish to. Have luck! Keep me posted. Scribe
I have found my artwork "Beads" published in Photos IUOMA. I sent this artwork for the project DeMonstrative in Anderson Gallery. If this work is published in this Gallery please send me a link.

Hey Jay, what a confusion. I think I blogged about your mail here. For some odd reason I could not find you on IUOMA and thought you wrote to me through my brief stint with postcrossing. And I thought I read Julie. So can you just confirm that you sent those cards please before I make more mistakes? :-)
Hi Jay, sorry about that, that was some confusion. Two Texas related cards from two unknown senders - that sent my head spinning. On the other card it says this is the second card (?!). Also the hand writing is similar. So some false conclusions were drawn. And here I was thinking how clever :-)
Also, I still don't know why I did not find anybody named Block in IUOMA, when I searched. I am glad we connected after all :-)
That'd be unreal, your stamps are totally my style! Black humour funny and beautiful!! What can I send you in return? I don't make art stamps, probably why I'm so envious of people who can, and why I want all the great ones I see!! I have some pretty cool photos of grafitti taken this year in NY too and also in Latvia. Would they interest you? Or I could email some images and just make mail art for ya. Thanks in advance for any artist stamps!!
