Wallace Berman Semina was published and a few of my pals were the artist's. Wallace, once he stopped showing at galleries utilized mail art as an art form which had a great influence on the art assemblage, this is in the 1950's.mail art is the sphere of a new art form that is international in it's context which is what was appealing.
Michael, this is a friendly welcome to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist born and raised in a heavenly corner of the faraway Universe called Republik van Patland. A perfect start here certainly is mail art exchange. I would love to be the other end when you decide it´s the right time for you to start trading mail art. If that´s the case at the time, your envelope or card should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe
Terrene Embassy
Republik van Patland
Caixa Postal 24827
Curitiba-PR
80510-970
Brazil
I look forward to see a piece of yours in my terrene mail box. Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is a Celestial Promise. I´m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.
Michael, Welcome to this unique community of mail artists. Have fun! your collages have unique content and are wonderful compositions. I have sent something to Held's 'Gutai' mail art exhibition, hope to see your work at the gallery.
Celebrate IUOMA's 25th anniversary! See the Call for Entries on my IOUMA page, or at http://decordisart.blogspot.com/ I would like to receive mail art from you--and I will send you something in return.
PS: My IUOMA avatar is my life mask interpreted as Gaia, Earth Goddess. I used seed pods, snakeskin, feathers, bone animals and semi-precious stones, as well as other decorative items.
Welcome Michael, I lived in Ukiah for many years, I have a good friend who grew up in Boonville so I've been through Philo many times. I wasn't sure anyone still lived there, it's a very cool little town. I really like your Recycled beat funk art.
