hola sam! got your super cute mail art! just loved the neon pink envelop!!! i'm super behind on my mail art sendings, my little one was sick with the flu last week and is still recovering. but i will send your labels and a few surprises out next week... to your new address. take good care!
I love this photo (and the welcome you sent me). Birds are so amazing to me. Your photo captures so much of the spirit of the birds that visit me every day!
I sent ita long time ago...Keep an eye out for a splatterpainted envelope...
I'll send something else your way this weekend!
Um, idk which address I sent it to. What's your new one?
i don't have a mail art call going on right now... thinking of starting a new project soon involving a mail art call... but brain too mushy lately. like you my days have been hectic lately. we'll see where this new idea takes me.
happy spring and hope you enjoyed my little mail art offering. were the labels what you wanted???
Yep, still @ the Foster PO addy. No worries about the time passed- time and inspiration for mail exchange ebbs and flows I find. By the way, I had no idea you were pregnant! Congratulations!!!!!!! <3
mm yes and no
i would say the norm for the site is when you request an address you send a postcard (which can be handmade/mailart)
but before I discovered IUOMA I did lots of direct swaps with people sending artwork and letters and they greatly appreciate it
I do Postcrossing for the international concept, not the art concept like IUOMA
but sometimes the two mix :)
first you must find a user who has activated their direct swap choice (it just says on the top of their profile: "direct swaps: yes" if they don't do swaps, it will say no
to do a direct swap, you send a message to the user you would want to swap with
its just like swapping on IUOMA: just ask them for preferences & address :) and exchange postcards (although I often exchange art, letters, and gifts) I have some great pen pals who send me stuff like food and souveniers right from their country
thanks, I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate this whole thing. so far I just think it's a hoot & am having great fun...it's really wonderful to be able to view all the really good artists in IUOMA...Who knew? I'm looking forward to many interesting exchanges.
thanks, I found it quite by accident & so far it's really great. seems like it just takes time-like everything else with this blankity blank computer....I need a system and more time thanks for the help offer much appreciated.
Congratulations on safely completing your move back to Richmond! I hope that you and your family will enjoy many wonderful blessings because of it. I did get your thoughtful, generous mail art this past week, and thank you. I am putting something together and it should post tomorrow noonish. With Joy, Naomi
So far I find I do like this site. I had a site on art mesh from Berlin that dissapeared . I think this one is better designed. I have used this site before I became a member to look up mail art calls.
Hi Sam,
Okay, got the new address - but did you receive the Documentation for the 4th Dimension Territories project that I sent a couple of weeks ago? If not, I'll send another to your new address. Oh and how are you dear girl? Been a while since we last spoke. Cheers, Test
Samantha...I've received your message...I'll count you in for my little project because I think you will like it. YOu will receive a card from a Belgian child...with his/her image of his/her house on it...they left space for you...and they want to ask you to put YOUR house next to it. I've picked you out to join...hope you will like it, ask me whatever if this isn't clear enough, hugs Kathy
hi Samantha, a reminder if you have not yet responded,
here is an invitation to pARTicipate in the SECREt eXCHANGE exhibitions...pass the invitation on to your friends, and let me know on my page if you will or won't be able to contribute; go to IUoMA Events...or click on the link http://secretexchange.yolasite.com/ thx, Terry Reid, send me a friend request for easier communication
