  • EFTICHIA PETALA

oh i thing i send my work at old addr see and
lets beleave to come back i make mistake
    hello
    regards
  • ainssomeone

    mm yes and no
i would say the norm for the site is when you request an address you send a postcard (which can be handmade/mailart)
but before I discovered IUOMA I did lots of direct swaps with people sending artwork and letters and they greatly appreciate it
I do Postcrossing for the international concept, not the art concept like IUOMA
but sometimes the two mix :)
  • Kendra Cantrell

    Thank you! :D

    And either works. :D
  • Kris Naylor

Hi Samantha! I like the work that you do. Thanks for friending me.
    Kris
  • ainssomeone

first you must find a user who has activated their direct swap choice (it just says on the top of their profile: "direct swaps: yes" if they don't do swaps, it will say no
to do a direct swap, you send a message to the user you would want to swap with
its just like swapping on IUOMA: just ask them for preferences & address :) and exchange postcards (although I often exchange art, letters, and gifts) I have some great pen pals who send me stuff like food and souveniers right from their country
  • Lee goldberg

thanks, I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate this whole thing. so far I just think it's a hoot & am having great fun...it's really wonderful to be able to view all the really good artists in IUOMA...Who knew? I'm looking forward to many interesting exchanges.
  • Lee goldberg

thanks, I found it quite by accident & so far it's really great. seems like it just takes time-like everything else with this blankity blank computer....I need a system and more time thanks for the help offer much appreciated.
  • Jen Staggs

I did get your thoughtful, generous mail art this past week, and thank you. I am putting something together and it should post tomorrow noonish. With Joy, Naomi
  • Lex

So far I find I do like this site. I had a site on art mesh from Berlin that dissapeared . I think this one is better designed. I have used this site before I became a member to look up mail art calls.

Samantha...I've received your message...I'll count you in for my little project because I think you will like it. YOu will receive a card from a Belgian child...with his/her image of his/her house on it...they left space for you...and they want to ask you to put YOUR house next to it. I've picked you out to join...hope you will like it, ask me whatever if this isn't clear enough, hugs Kathy
