I recently acquired RAY JOHNSON'S High School Yearbook. While researching Johnson I discovered I'm a latent Mail Artist and would like to "Come Out of the Mail Box".
Bonjour and Welcome to IUOMA! And yes, it"s NOW!!!
It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.
If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.
You have to get started somewhere, and I wonder if you would like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and I PROMISE to send you something back. (Make sure that you provide your mail address on your Page and/or the piece that you send me so that I will know where to reply to.)
Probably the most efficient way to "come out of the Mail Box" is to have a challenge to do it. This welcome is inspired by that same premise. What you receive is a friendly one to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist born and raised in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. A perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time for you to start trading art. If it’s the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe Caixa Postal 24827 Curitiba-PR 80510-970 Brazil
II look forward to see your piece in my terrene mailbox. Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is nothing less than a celestial promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.
Thanks for the 'coffin' with the skeletons inside. What a great idea -- especially for the Tombstones Gang! It's a very original and imaginative interpretation of the Group's theme. And your dancing skeletons and ghosts are quite wonderful.
Am glad to hear that you're enjoying IUOMA, but be warned...it can be seriously addictive.
Thank you for the fabulous accordian folded Elgin watch-you've done your homework! I love it-your idea of the plastic containers is fascinating and I hope the series goes on indefinately:)
