I love letters and art, and I love doing and receiving creative things. Life is too short, so it better be beautiful. I collect all kinds of things, such as found postcards, quotes and photographs, pictures for collages etc. and I love love love photography.
It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.
If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.
You have to get started somewhere, and I wonder if you would like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and I PROMISE to send you something back.
Hoping you enjoy your IUOMA days.
Regards,
Val Herman (who was born and bred in Darlington, and who goes back to the NE occasionally, and when he does always visits York, and -- who knows?-- may meet up with you one day.)
Hello Karolina K - another newbie eh? I have spent some time just exploring the archives here, looking at profiles and joining a few groups - it seems like a really friendly community here.
I joined a couple of weeks ago and have just sent out my first mailing. Had a few acknowledgements and am now watching the mailbox...
Welcome Karolina! We're all really friendly here. I joined a few month back, and really have made some great friends already. Great to see a fellow Brit on here too! Maybe I'll see you in the mail sometime :)
Karolina, this is a friendly welcome to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist born and raised in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. A perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time for you to start trading art. If it’s the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe Caixa Postal 24827 Curitiba-PR 80510-970 Brazil
II look forward to see your piece in my terrene mailbox. Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is nothing less than a celestial promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.
Hello and welcome from stripygoose. I joined last March and in a wild moment also signed up to do mailart every day for a year - mailart 365. Maybe we'll meet up in the post soon :>)
