It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.
If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.
Would you like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and I PROMISE to send you something back.
Hoping you enjoy your IUOMA days, and Best Wishes for 2012.
Hello New Friend Audrey! Let's exchange Mail Art? I'll be in the Uk from 20 to 30 January, and perhaps you can send me something there: my address is V. herman, 18 Mayfields, Uplands Rd, GB Darlington DL3 7 TU, England. I'll send you something back from Buckingham Palace (ha!)
Thankyou.
I've never received any mail from Pearland -- it sounds very rural: is it?
Regards from your New Friend Val in Merlotland, France
This is a friendly welcome to The Eternal Network, from a friendly mail artist, living in a friendly country. A perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would like to be the other end on your very beginning at IUOMA when you decide it’s the right time for you to start doing it. If that’s the case at this time, your envelope should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe Caixa Postal, 24827 Curitiba-PR 80510-970 Brazil
II look forward to see your piece in my mailbox. Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours. That’s a celestial promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.
Audrey, Wow is all I can say! Your gorgeous envelope graced my mail box today. I'm honored to be the recipient of your first mail since being at IOUMA. I love all the fun imagery you used and will blog this when I can. Thank you!
Thank you for the friend request. I am slow and pile up a lots of mail to return but if this is ok, you can exchange mail with me. I am in Osaka JP, but I go back and forth in btw San Francisco USA. Tomoe (is a female name)
What kind of magazine? I do not think anything available now, but if I have it, maybe... I think Japanese newspaper would work for collage too. Different language, different pictures. During the new year time I found interesting pictures, illustration on newspaper. Japanese cerebrate New Year instead of Christmas.
I am looking forward your mail. I can still send back the new year card, if I don't have time to create something.
Hi Audrey, and greetings from the UK where I'm spending a few days. Many thanks for the incredible painted and coillaged Giant Card thing that you sent me. 'Tis very good indeed -- and the postman liked it too, and was quite fascinated by it. I think he wanted it, but I wasn't going to give it up -- no way! I've mailed you something back already. In future, we need to establish a Pearland-Sigean mail art stream.
In haste, but thanks again and with best wishes, Val
Audrey, thank you so much for the complement! But, right now my studio is packed up - as I am remodeling. I will come by and re-activate once i am up and running again! Thanks and hope to see you then! k
Hi Audrey, I sent you a used fashion magazine today. It was kind of heavy and costly but I hope you find some interesting image for you to make some collage or mail art or whatever.
Not sure how long it will take to TX, but it normally takes for 5 days- a week to the West Coast. I hope you get it and like the magazine. It is used magazine, so I will give to you. But it is new thing to you in terms of culture and images. (^_^)

AJW,
You're very welcome, I wasn't sure how big you were on collages, but I thought you could probably find a use for them. :)
