Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I love to create Real Mail, send Real Mail, and receive Real Mail. After reading the book "Good Mail Day," I realized there are others like me! I studied art history, and I worked in paper conservation and graphic design. I am addicted to paper and all things postal. When it comes to art and books, I will never go paperless, and I will do my part to keep the postal system in business.

    I wondered how those petals might travel. I've had that paper for eons and it came packaged as "postcards" so I figured I'd give it a try. I'm glad it arrived fine, even if it did arrive in a USPS body bag :-)

    I have a chronic anxiety/panic disorder, & even with my meds, if I'm left alone without music it's akin to 7 pinball machines & a submarine siren crammed into my brain, heehee. So the music not only serves as inspiration, but therapy as well. I'm very glad that you enjoyed the cards. (Oh, & I saw my first PJ show back in '92. :-] )

    My apologies! With health issues aplenty, our group's been out of commission the past two days, mainly from a nasty bug or virus, The one not thus afflicted at this time had to stay in all day, and will be stuck at home while skies clear of any smoke from 2 area wildfires, still burning---she's our asthmatic. Mail Call-wise. I had so looked forward to sending off our reply to your lovely pocket surprise to us from last month! And here I am, stuck in bed!

    We are now experiencing just about the worst drought ever, so am anxious for a great deal more moisture than we've had yet this year. care to send a little rain our way? Say, 4-5 inches to make up for some of the shortfall?

    An earache is keeping me homebound today. Yuck! Maybe I can address the paper with scissors, and color after the rest of my lighter weight chores are done.

     I got a lovely 'hot balloon' envelope from you today. I opened it very, very carefully because it was so pretty that i didn't want to destroy it, and then found inside.... a beautiful 'authentic vintage' postcard with all sorts of things collaged on it, and yet another hot air balloon.

    Thank you very much for two (lucky me!) great pieces.
