There's something very stimulating about bending all the rules for art, writing, and mail all at once. I really enjoy stuffing everything I can onto a postcard.
It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.
If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.
Would you like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and I PROMISE to send you something back.
Hoping you enjoy your IUOMA days.
Regards, Val Herman; who would like to ask you a question:
What does the 'of chewytulip fame' mean? I ask because I, too am a tulip for e-mail purposes: billytulip1956@yahoo.com; If you have 3 days to spare some time I can tell you the story of billytulip1956, who really wants to know about a chewytulip
Hello Cara. This is a friendly welcome to the network, from a friendly mail artist living in a friendly country. A good starting around here seems to be mail art exchange. I would like to be the other side on this very beginning with you. The envelope should read as follows:
Patricio Duprat
Av. Paraná, 1489 apto. 1004
Curitiba-PR
825210-000
Brazil
I look forward to see your piece arriving on the mail. I will send mine to you after receiving yours. It’s my promise. Patricio
Your foxy fox, the nice lady, arrived to Brazil a week ago. I was out of town. Where do I send a piece of brazilian mail-art to? There is no address on the card. Mine is ready to go but the 1 million question is "where". I asked how to contact you to www.chewytulip.... but the silence was the only answer. Thank you a lot.
Bonjour Cara of chewytulip fame! (I've never tried eating a tulip: do they taste nice?) Many thanks for your 'Two horns are better than none' collage: it's really good. There's a museum in Vienna which has in it a narwhal tusk that in the middle ages (or later?) was believed to be a unicorn's horn, and was worhsipped/revered accordingly. I'll be mailing you something back at the weekend that you can worship/revere if you like...or most probably just throw away. Hope you're having a good summer. Regards, le tour de Val aka billytulip1956@yahoo.com
