Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I like communication, art, paper, painting and concepts. The ideal combination for doing Mail-Art. Worked with rubberstamps as a child and started sending out letters as soon as I could write. Discovered that it was called mail-art in 1980. Have been discovering ever since and in the last years also promoting this free cultural exchange.

    Goede avond, Mijnheer! Thanks for 'Bilust' and all the goodies contained in your 'package'. I'm incorporating solme of them into a series of things I'm making up right now. I'll send the Body ärts charts to Vittore B, and hope I get allocated a nice bit of a body, but who knows what I'll get?     With regard to your enquiry about how to store mail art, have a look at my photos - I have made 2 books to store mail art. The one is called "Coptic Book - An Extraordinary Correspondence with Cheryl Penn" and the other is an album in my photos called Mail Art Book Karin and Elize. I made pockets which I stapled to the pages to slot the mail into. Now I need to make another book to store all my IUOMA friends mail in! Hope you can find the pics....

    BTW, where do I find detailed instructions on how to do things here at Ning...?  I want to put a picture instead of the placeholder image on my group but can't see how to change it.  It made me realize I don't know where to find basic stuff like that.

    Technique: Any mediums of art welcome, hand-made

    it's funny, because you guys were just a few hours from here around the time i started doing mail art!!! it seems like an eternity ago now! I went to school for creative writing and my teacher kept encouraging my art over my writing. Now i wake up and work on art throughout the day in some form or another! life is funny that way!

     

    i'm sending you one of my zombie encyclopedia add & passes along with my collage for today, a zombie mash-up with a good amount of Junot Diaz's Oscar Wao thrown in too!

     

    Next time, send me the flyer in advance, i'll have a lot better odds of showing up on time!!! ;-D
