I love mail that doesn't ask for money, pitch credit cards or summons me for jury duty. I'm amazed and grateful for all the generosity of this community.
(Note: my website is under construction).
I like odd photos of people too....send the guy in his coffin or other such pictures and I will collage them into a mailart set which will be used as a background for a live performance piece.
Nadine - hello :-) - your long anticipated mail arrived - its FAB - thank you! Inventor of the Lotus Chair :-))) - WHO is Estelle? Will be making mail to send to you on the weekend - thanks for trading XX
Bonsoir Nadine, many thanks for the great envelope, book mark (which is already being put to good use) and mother/daughter Ruby/Nadine paintings & 1/2 photo. I'll be mailing you something back at the start of next week;
Thanks again and wishing you a Bon Weekend, Regards, Val the Herman's Hermit (whose life was saved by Mail Art, but I haven't tried Street Art yet -- will it be good for me, do you think?)
What is the show you refer to, Nadine? Thsnks anyway! and swap what? ATCs with pleasure. But not yet as I may have to give up my present post office box address, the rats upped my fee from £90 a year to £170 which is ridiculous, I hope it is a mistake. Let's wait to sort this out.
Hi Nadine, I was going to say my mailbox is always open, but thanks to a Canada Post strike, we are now only going to get mail on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.
Bonjour! Nice to hear from you again. 'Bestgal Alicia' is she a relation of yours? If, with my wealth of a few months IUOMA experience, I can give you any mentoring type help, then pelase ask.
Unfortunately the mynameismorley.com disn't get me anywhere: is the address right? is your son going to be a Mail QArtsist too?
I didn't get the reference to US vs France comparisons: do explain please!
Encore bonjour! Thanks. I have found your son's art, and it's great. Do you know of Banksie (or Banksy?) in the UK. He does similiar things that sell for a whole lot of money. One of my favourite artists is Jenny Holzer, and I love what she does with words -- visually and well, thematically -- and on a grand scale.
I don't know if France is any more tolerant than the US on this stype of street art. I live in a little village with little streets and it would not be tolerated, let alone attempted here. There is no street art here, and no graffiti either. But in the big cities like Paris, Lyons and Toulouse, things would be different -- both in the presence of street artists and tolerance/acceptance of their work. Tell your son to get himself a plane ticket, and see what happens to him. (If he gets arrested, i'll spring for bail -- perhaps!).
I don't think that you should worry about overloading any of us with cards or other forms of Mail Art. A big part of the whole fun of this Mail Art game is to open the post box each day and find (if you're lucky) some mail Art therein. Then I, and I suspect most others, think -- Wow! I've got Mail, lucky me...and now I must respond to it.
As far as I'm concerned, trhe more mail Art I receive (and send) the better, so keep it coming.
Yes let's start sending. Send me something and I will definitely respond. My professor got me set up with this. I love it and I can't wait to see what people send and I am also glad there is something keeping me creatively active.
Hello Art Hungry Nadine! Thanks for the very nice little card ,plus the tag. It was valid for art expression. I'll be mailing you something back in the next few days. Thanks again, Regards, Hilton
Hi Nadine it is only a pleasure. Yes it is amazing all of us working away and sending artmail all over the world. If I remember I will take some pics of my art room and send them to you so you can see where I work. Take care,Karin

it's an art movement!
it's about democratizing art.
fluxus has become too old school, we need something new.
we need to think more in terms of a digital era.
making collages with google images was not something you could do back when fluxus was born.
there needs to be new thoughts on how to approach getting art into the hands of the masses. because once that happens, there will be an explosion in the creativity of the collective consciousness.

get me your email, i'll send you the weekly free art
thank you so much Nadine and thanks for the add. I can't wait to see more of the Meeksa story. I had a series I used to tell my son, a made up story, of a frog named "Toadio", although I do not have your drawing skills. Have a good night:)

Hello and so nice to meet you ! Anxious to get started with an active and friendly group.
Work has been pretty consuming lately and I feel this may very well be the perfect "get-away" venue for me.
