1952 (when I sent a "Thankyou for my Birthday Present' to my Grandma, and illustrated it with a little drawing). Since then my Mail Art history has been, well, interesting
Oui, Monsieur Sammitch....'tis indeed slang for sandwich, whether it be as fancy as turkey on croissant or as simple as bologna n cheese:) Either way- bread looks fabulous on you! Just don't forgot to cease wearing mustard after labor day.

Merci Senor Sandwich de Queso a la Plancha! I have not forgotten that you asked about my journey into mail art....Im going to answer when Im at my laptop.....:)

Thanks! I am still sorting things out in my on-line world but if I have any questions I will send them your way. And I will send you a post card in a week or so! Hope
Hi Val, I am going to begin my first "mail art" creation for you today. I assume the only requirement is the artwork is the actual envelope, or postcard? Please clarify if I am wrong.I have made ATC cards and artist journals but not mail art, so here goes! Thanks for being my mentor-any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Judy
Hi Val, it was great to know that I will have a "mentor"...I am very excited about this group and really look forward to getting to know everyone and exchanging artwork. Thanks for you address; I'm totally psyched.....
I may have streched the length it took to drive back home by a few hours. Thankfully we broke up the trek into a few days, stopping along the way to see friends. Nova Scotia was great, really great. I will make sure and send you a few cards from China when I get there. But before I go I'm going to have a marathon "making stuff" day.
je suis heureux vous ai apprecie la carte potale! J'espere que mon Francais est bon...my grandparents were from Quebec...so my French is what I learned from them...and very rusty...bonsoir! -Jim.
Thank you so much Val. A warm welcome is more than what I expected form you people. I will exercise the mailartist from within, with you. Thank you again.
yes, the missing piece is headed back to you tomorrow! ;-D

i thought you should know, superheroine amanda is fast becoming the world-leading expert in franglais! she offered me mangoes, kiwis, and pommes for dinner! i will pay close attention and before you know it i'll be speaking fluent franglais too!
Got your card and well wishes for China today, thanks so much. I'm going to try and send a few cards from China while I'm there so be prepaired. Gonna try and find some weird things to send out to people since I can't be distracted by movies and reruns of Seinfeld.
hi Mark...like the idea of SmartSis..yes, I would love to be included...my first choice wld be November and September the 2nd...
also, on another note, I'm having trouble sending messages...The prompts come up, but when I hit send...nothing happens....I tried sending you a Message from my message board, but could not...any suggestions?
Sorry for the late response. I would love to start sending Mail Art to you. I will try and send something out by the end of this week. My address for the next 3 months is 1007 Park Ave, Richmond, VA 23220. I will be moving to New York City in September so I will send you a new address. How did you get started with Mail Art?
Hello Mark. Your card is nearly finished and will be mailed today. Once you receive it, do i then post the photo of it on my site? AND, is it protocol to request cards from others or should i wait until awhile?
Thanks for mentoring me. I am on fire with this concept.
Got a great message from a femail friend in the past. She recognized herself in the book of Ann. Oh boy, so the book of Ann is now the book of Inge (hihi)
Gracias Val. Your card is almost dry and will be mailed soon. Quick question that i could not find an answer to on the information page: Does the card need to be in an envelope if it is sealed with a coating?
I look forward to getting something back from you.
Yes! It arrived. I took your comment about publishing before sending and tried to get it all in an envelope. It was such a great comment. I love the suspense. I'm checking your ideas as to how to get into this world through your mentoring my best gal Alicia.
Street art is wonderful. My son (no promotion) is really lovong it. MyNameIsMorley.com I feel it's much the same as this, only no threat of arrest! I think France is perhaps more understanding than US.
