急に思い出しましたが、７月１３日知絵さんにメールアートをお送りしましたが、届いてますか。

わたしは７月３０日に日本へ行って、８月１４日に帰ってきました。
東京と静岡に行ってきました。
１６日間とても楽しかったです。
今はまたメールアートに夢中になっています。:)

メールアートが無事に着いてよかったですね。:)

大阪もとても暑いでしょう。
ソウルも蒸し暑いです。

レンタカーで旅行してましたので、富士山にも行ってきました。
都会を外れて自然の中で休んでたら、気分がとてもよくなりました。
今度の旅のために、今の生活を頑張ろうと思っています。

I'm really happy to be part of the family. Your nice collage has really inspired me a lot and made me want to start this too. It's thanks to you and Jennie.
I don't know why, I felt really inspired to make the rubber stamps, I love it. But now I have to write some mail and use them :-))

Hahaha, I think exactly the same. When I visit to the stationery floor of Tokyo Hands I feel like buying the whole shop, especially the stamps, some of them are tooo kawai.
I just started collecting ephemera and I really like it. I sometimes remove stickers from the poles and the bridges etc. For the moment they are just accumulating in a folder at home and i still don't know what to do with them, but like you there are some that I would like to keep for myself. I guess mail art is also about learning to be generous . Huum, I still have to learn a lot about that.
Today I want to start using some of my vintage japanese books I bought in Jimbocho the other day. I looooove them, it's a pitty to cut them up with scissors but they were so cheep.

Hello Tomoe! Yip - I am a book artist - dont worry, over here the book arts are not well recognized at all either. I teach book binding to many people - people are interested in learning the craft of binding, but as for artists books - well - people wont PAY for them. I will post you something and then you can send me a card back x

I really wish you could be a part of this very little project. We can wait, but if you participate in this you have to promise me to send the card back, the kids are looking forward to it. A little image/collage of your house/ the place where you are living would make the heart of the child so happy! I'll count you in? I really hope you can spend 30 minutes on the little card, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease! :)

Yes, I live about 70miles from the Grand Canyon. I love all the parks in this area as well. I think the Grand Canyon is my favorite. Flagstaff and Northern Arizona is my idea of paradise. If you are ever in the area again, let me know, and I'll show you some places that aren't popular but are gorgeous.

I am sorry if I misunderstood your original question: it is clear now.

Really the only thing that I can say to you is to do what you think is best -- you are one of the 'local experts' who knows what is happening on a daily basis in Japan and knows what best can be done there and for all of those in Japan. People like myself (I am in the South of France) can only follow developments on TV (especially CNN, BBC World, etc), various internet sites, comments from friends, and the developments that are reported back to us from IOUMA colleagues. We are at a great distance -- geographically, emotionally, physiacally, and so on -- and can only experience at secondd hand what is happening in Japan.

Yes of course you can send link up 'Solidarity' with MMIX Arts Fund in Sendai Myagi. Please do whatever you think is necessary, appropriate and timely. I started the Solidarity Group, but I do not 'own' it -- each of its 100 members, and IUOMA itself, will, I am sure, give you whatever help they can.  The Group empowers each of us to help in any way possible. One example of what we as Mail Artists in IUOMA are doing is the 'Peace Crane Group': are you aware of it?

Yes, do start a new mail art call if it will help things: I will be one of the first to contribute something to it, and if I can help in any way within IUOMA, then please let me know.
