Hi Jon, glad you like the feather! No I didnt screen print it, it is an actual feather that I inked up and printed onto the card, over another print of Indian sari fabric. So 2 seperate prints. Easy peasy! :)

Hey Jon, I'll be looking forward to something from up the hill. I've got to get something else to you too. Way too many ideas and not enough time. If you are still traveling, I'd like a card from the land of the dragon.

No Jon. I didnt dip the feather in ink, I rolled the lino print ink onto the feather with a roller and then placed the feather onto the card, then put a piece of paper over the feather and rolled over the paper. I think if you dipped the feather it would be too saturated and you wouldnt get a good print, but try it.

I am doing well. Finishing up dolls for the film. Will be going  home in June for a wedding.

Thanks for the card, which arrived while we were on holiday. You are the master of packing tape collage, Jon. This card is terrific with the added part that I owned that CAR!! Long gone from my life, but good memories of it.

Glad you liked the tree-also glad it made it intact.  I didn't expect it to. I've sealed the new one but don't like it as much. The texture just isn't there. A lesson learned.

I am happy it reached you. russia celebrated Victory day 9th of May yesterday. there was a great march on the main street Nevsky prospekt with veterans and young officers as always. 9th of May 1945 year soviet army got to Berlin, placed its flags on Reichstag and the war was claimmed to be finished. So this day is honoured all over Russia.

and it is sharply two weeks for my post to reach you by the way =) thats great.

your schwarzenegger(sp??) piece is getting recycled into a fluxus (flexus:) piece for a friend of ours, who has to deal with elisists on a daily basis in his job (urologist??)

 

just thought i'd let you know that it has taken on a whole new meaning, and was a great piece of inspiration!
