I love writing and receiving letters and have recently closed my facebook account in order to concentrate on letter writing. These days, instead of posting on my facebook wall, I get people to write me by post and then I post everything on my REAL wall, and photograph it for upload to www.myrealwall.com
When I found out about the mail-art movement I realised that the wall, which itself is my work of art, was perfectly suited for incorporating other peoples art and decided that I would get involved in this community.
I am working on my own mail-art as well as actively involved in displaying any that I receive and I endeavour to write back to anyone who sends me anything.
Bring it on!

Hi Andy!!
Today I received your card...It has arrived without the post office seal on the stamp so I don't know how long it took.
You had a very original idea! I really liked the concept. Cool! Thank you very much, Andy!!
Is Lisa another mail artists?
You can view it here:
http://tac-tictac.blogspot.com/
Thanks for your very cool card!! I hope to send you something back soon! Good to know that you have a Flickr page, I´ll bookmark that one. Cheers, Marion
Hi Andy!
thank you for letting me know...just tell me if I have to do something in return, since you wrote her address on my half of the card...I hope I didn't missunderstand how the whole project works....
cheers
Patrizia
Ciao & thanks for the wonderful postcard AND the update. A recent trip to Italy (I actually got back this morning) further delayed my already slow activities, BUT I'll send you something back for sure. Cheers - G.
Got your real card today in my real mail box. Yes, definitely the first Richmond over there, we're next (but then there is a Richmond, Indiana, USA and a Richmond, California, USA and who knows how many others! Thanks for the card!
hi Andy, yes I received your card but i was away and just now I am starting to take up the reins of mail Art. I will try to sent it as soon as possible. Sorry!

Hi Andy, I should like to send also some mail-art to Hammersmith and Fulham, and see if they think it is "business garbage"! Maybe we could suggest that they start a "REAL WALL" in their office :-)
Thanks Andy! 'Just saw your REAL WALL! I dunno...looks like a top executive business office to me 8-)
Something artsy in the mail tomorrow...on official Aristotle University
of Thessaloniki, Greece stationery...the Greek gods are angry!
ooohhh that hilarious! i know... i'm a little psycho with overdoing it with the tape on my poor poor little envelops... but the mail art works that i send out are all originals so i always want them to arrive undamaged. it's happened a few times in the past that my hand made envelops got torn or something in the post, so now i'm all coocoo crazy with the tape. good luck and perhaps an exacto knife or something will do the trick?
three cheers for all types of sharp devises! well as long as they don't bite our little fingers!
in my envelop wrangling experiences i would actually use an exacto knife (or thin sharp knife) and do a little slit at the top or side of the envelop. not too deep to actually get to the contents... but i'm a very seasoned envelop taper, so good luck to you! ha ha ha!
... i knew i would with an envelop like that! and of course my head scratching ability to make a seemingly harmless envelop impenetrable... ha ha ha! sharp objects to the rescue!
Thank you Andy...I am so pleased you liked it!! And I promise that if by unlucky chance this card is lost because of the London post strike, I'll re-do it..until it gets there!
;-)
best wishes
Patrizia
Thanks Andy for your friendship. What's happening with the REAL WALL multi-million dollar business, Mr. CEO? Has the company dropped the charges? I hope, I hope.
Here is my REAL FLOOR, Andy. I don't have wall space in my little studio apartment, so I am "opening-my-business" on the floor! then, once I put some order into this chaos, I shall keep a nice mail art archives in artsy boxes.
Best of luck to you with the council.
Katerina
Many thanks, Andy. Your mail art came in today's mail.
To me it took too long of a time, but my postman saw it,
and liked it, and asked how it came without stamps? dunno!
Maybe they didn't stick on the smooth surface? Anyway, it arrived and I like it very much.
Do you have letter type sets for those letters?
And what type of ink or paint that will not come off?
Really great mail art. Many thanks,
Katerina
wow, Andy, I just went to Amazon.com and saw that letter set. Me thinks I'll get one, looks like a fun way to write on mail art! Thanks for the tip. And I see the stamp that you put on...and that somehow never arrived in Greece...sob, sob. Maybe some postal clerk added it to his stamp collection. Hope it landed in appreciative hands!
How goes the legal stuff concerning your "business"?
May all work out for the best.
They really should dismiss the charge!
Take care,
Katerina
YEAH! Andy! At least you are getting some public news out there. glad that the "Greek gods" could help. hope to hear soon that "case-is-closed" and you have no fine, no fuss whatsoever. (Could it all have begun by a jealous neighbor...who wants some art in his/her mailbox too?)
hope all goes well!
Katerina
thanks andy! check out my mail call i think it should be interesting to see what people come up with .. hope your staying warm this winter happy holidays!
It finally arrived! Looks good on the real wall. And I see the tempest-in-a-teapot has been resolved too.
Congrats on the new home,
Lorraine from rrainy Vancouver
YEAH! Andy you found one of the photos from the IUOMA display board at the Dec. exhibit. Here is a close-up of your mail art up in the right corner...and yes you can use them all on your Real Wall!
"PEACEmultilingual"..'tis by me, Andy...
It was a collage and acrylic paint job made for
Keith Buchholz' St. Louis Fluxus mail art call,
back in the Fall. I was working on a series of "Peace"...

Hi Andy,
I sent you a postcard today from Australia. It's a bit large and an odd size so, could let me know when it comes. I just wanna make sure it does. Cheers! -JJ
Andy..help, please. I'm trying to get into the Mail Art Projects of the web-site, but when I try to do so, all I get is a very small picture on the top left of the screen. I wonder: is it me at fault, or is there something wrong with 'the system'? Could you try and get in, please, and tell me if you have the same problems, Thanks! I'll send you CV-type info tomorrow; Regards, Val
Dear Andy, Did you get the cv type info I (tried to) send you last week?
If not I can re-send it. Good luck with your fight against Hammersmith and Fulham (0-2, at half-time). Regards, the Health and Safety Executive of Val Herman plc
