Incredible, much-loved asemic trashpo from Richard Canard, which he found in the street after a rain. Front and back:

So happy to have completed 3 snail mail collabs with Rebecca Guyver in the UK for AF. She brought my starters to life!

one more collab w/ Rebecca to come in another entry

  • Rebecca Guyver

Thanks for the fab write up! Btw, I can see the bottom one has some plastic sewn on!

  • De Villo Sloan

Stay tuned for part 1. I saved the last for best.

  • Terry Owenby

Carolyn Cline, if you haven't sent the asemics A&P on to someone else by now, I'd love to work on it. I've never done an asemics A&P before and would love to join in. Thank you!

  • De Villo Sloan

Here is the last of my 3 recent collabs w/ Rebecca Guyver (UK).

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Very rich and beautiful, DVS and Rebecca.

  • De Villo Sloan

Thank you NBS & Carolyn, this is the place where I say all the credit goes to La Becca - but it does! The transfers, the sewing.

I never thought much of collabs (to be honest), but now I'm hooked.

  • De Villo Sloan

BTW NBS - I like Richard Canard's Asemic Trashpo a lot. I'll probably do something with it.

I have, in fact, a backlog of good stuff from Richard. Just thinking about how to play it. Have not forgotten...

  • De Villo Sloan

And thanks to Osvaldo as ever

It has been a nice morning stroll through these lovely works

  • Ficus strangulensis

Wow, Alicia! LOVE y'r 'shreds'! Y'r ol' Bud, Fike

  • Rebecca Guyver

Fun to have something I contributed to posted in this group and loved taking part in the collab. So much gorgeous work!

  • Nancy Bell Scott

    Double wow --

  • De Villo Sloan

I 2nd, 3rd, 4th (wherever we are). That's a stunner Alicia. I've admired it or one like it before.

I warn everyone that what gets posted here can be scooped up for Asemic Front. That's what I intend to do with Alicia's piece, especially since I have another Alicia piece I was going to post at AF today anyway.

Alicia goes back to the Cheryl Penn glory days of our proud group!

    Thanks as ever Alicia

  • De Villo Sloan

I've done a series of 5 collabs using foundations posted here by our group member Osvaldo Cibils (Italy). Here are versions of the first 3:

  • De Villo Sloan

    Welcome Beverly Monk!

  • De Villo Sloan

Received asemic m-a from Alicia Starr (Iowa, USA) who posted in the group recently. Many of us know Alicia from earlier vispo and asemic days. Thx Alicia

John M. Bennett's envelope bore this image.

  • John M. Bennett

    That's IT!

  • Richard Canard

22.01.18 Dare Ficus S. & John M. B., .... normally I easily become lost  in the   mysterious & artful calligraphy of John M. Bennett ---- but this reads abundantly clear  with the tip of "That's IT!" as even I can clearly read the letters " I " &  " T ". Thanx for posting.  Sincelery, Richard C.

  • De Villo Sloan

I've posted some new pieces by Donmay Donamayoora (Connecticut, USA) at Asemic Front. I think she's doing some great work.

  • De Villo Sloan

Special thanks to Beverly Monk for that great work!

Other people have done vispo text weaves - Cheryl Penn (South Africa) for one. I'll try to dig up some scans.

Be warned! I'm going to be re-posting some of this great work at AF.

  • De Villo Sloan

I'm thrilled to be able to share the work Audrey Enough (Canada) (formerly Bev M) posted in our group on Asemic Front. Hoping for more!

find your work very intriguing osvaldo...stare and stare at it.

  • De Villo Sloan

Osvaldo grows on you, Audrey. For a while I was perplexed, now I can't wait for the next installment.

They can be used as collab foundations.

  • De Villo Sloan

I said I was intrigued with Nancy Bell Scott's "Can You Hear Me Now." So I've done 2 collabs called "Totems" using her original piece. So here are more NBS-DVS collabs.

  • De Villo Sloan

My only concern is that I'm getting really good at making NBS fakes :) They call that "the anxiety of influence."

  • Audrey Enough

    beautiful collabs!!

  • Nancy Bell Scott

Don't be concerned. We're all under the influence.
