In November there will be the 6th group exhibition Cucumber Art at Nachladen.

"This joyful group exhibition presents paintings, drawings, prints, small sculpture, comics, booklets by artists at home and abroad on the theme of cucumber and is a beloved Nachladen tradition. 

We would love you to contribute. Please send your art to Nachladen by October 14th 2023, or just drop off your contribution." 

No documentation, though, as it's not strictly a mail art exhibition

Where did you find the infos about the cucumber exhibition? on the website they only mention the old ones. (I'm not shure regarding the size of the work to send in. If you don't know I contact them directly..)

Having been a cartoon / comics lover my whole life I have made a few pieces of mailart that dealt with such themes.  I am going to post a few I have sent out over the years.  I used to cut out the comic strips from newspapers when newspapers were worth it.  Here in North America newspapers are a joke, and a bad one at that.

Continuing with the comics theme, here is another piece of mailart that got sent into the Eternal Network.

what about doing a little one page comic collab?

I thought of a three or four panel (=frames) selfmade comic.

procedure would depend on number of participants.

duo: one person does the frames and characters the other person adds speech/thought bubbles

trio: s.a. plus one person doing backgrounds

...

style could be drawn, collage... 

don't be shy you can do it :)

characters can also made very easy e.g. a blob, geometrical form..

but I'm also open to other suggestions :)

the aim is just to have some fun and see what will show up as result.

What a good idea, I have been doing some comics mostly about a cat called Mailart Ali. Here is one of them. MailartAli has his own account in Instagram and it is great fun for me to do.

This is an old example, the first thing that came to hand. It dates from the time of the lockdowns because of the pandemic

I love comics!! (and I love ligne claire drawings). So I would like to join :-)

Though to some personal life tasks I am a rather slow responder at the moment (there are still people here at IUOMA to whom I owe one or more mail art replies..). Hope that that is no problem for you (and I expect to have more time at the start of the new year).

A few weeks ago I've received Dave and Martha's other collab, but please have a little more patience, I'm still puzzling about what to add, text and/or colour (your collab looks already rather complete!)..

I agree with Heleen, that comic should be declared complete. I cannot imagine what or how to add to it, there is no room for starters!
