Flower Mail Art

I seem to be doing a number of pieces and am drawn to pieces lately with flowers.  So with that in mind why not create a group based on flower mail art.

Hi!  I am new to the IUOMA.  I don't really know how to reach out to others yet.  If you would like to exchange art please reach out to me.  :)  I just created a profile.  I LOVE flowers and figured this would be a great group for me!  :)  -tia

Welcome to the group Tiabatts! As for reaching out to people I've done it a couple of different ways. First was by finding people whose mail art I liked and I became friends with them and we started exchanging mail art. Another way was I would make some mail art and just randomly mail it to people, some who I was friends with already and others who I wasn't just to see what would happen. There are a few ways to go about it, but don't forget to have fun!

OK, thank you Alana! :)  I am trying to figure out the site and where to even find people's mailing addresses.  lol.

  • Tiabatts

Oh, I just saw yours at the bottom your page.  Some pages don't seem to have addresses at the bottom.  If they are not there where do you find them?

  • Alana Schlotter

Some people may have decided not to list their address but you can always send them a private message asking them for it, if they are interested in exchanging mail art they will give you the address.

Can anyone tell me the name of this wild flower?

Very prickly stems and grows like a weed everywhere in Greece and Italy:

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

  • Heleen de Vaan

Silverleaf nightshade, I think it is, Katerina.

    (I googled :-) )
    See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solanum_elaeagnifolium
  • Maia Leda

Hi! i am from Argentina. I am new here

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

That's it: silverleaf nighshade WEED! Thank you, Heleen.

and goats and sheep should not eat it:

I"..in the Mediterranean, climate change is already affecting animal and plant production challenging our efforts to secure food for the region.  Over the past decades, climate change has induced transformations in the weed flora of arable ecosystems in Europe. For instance, thermophile, late-emerging and certain opportunistic weeds have become more abundant in some cropping systems influencing production and reducing the areas for animal grassing."

But it is nice to see thousands of the flowers across the fields,

    just not for eating :-(
