Many Thanks, Chantal, now that I am up and on my new computer I will photo tomorrow and send it to you on Cafe to enjoy. The best is always Good Wishes.
Tomorrow, Thursday November 26th is US Thanksgiving...
but we can gather 'round the table at the CAFE tonight :-)
and start on the Big Bird!
Happy Thanksgiving, tomorrow to my fellow-Americans!
Well Susan, I finally got home from work to check for more goodies to inhale from the cafe and I got my exercise regime for the holiday from you. You really want to do it? I am game. Love ya.
Good morning sleepy head, I got up at 6 and couldn't even see across the street let alone to the monument, the fog is awful but starting to lift now at 9am. I am going out for a run, through Georgetown by stores which are closed today and this is safest way to window shop.
Hi All, I have a mail art call from VSArts in Washington, DC. The rep artists with disabilities and I am one of theirs. The call is open to all. Go to www.vsarts.org/postcardproject if interested to download the card and project due February 5 ,2010 in Washington, DC
My spoon is ready, any chance of some whipped cream with it, or should I supply the custard... I'm good at custard.... well I have mastered getting the lid off the tin of custard powder... I have trouble opening the milk carton sometimes but I keep practicing.
mmmmmmmmmmmm, apple pie!
How home sick can I get with that?
Thanks, Lorraine, I'll have a piece too,
and we are singing:
"Bye, bye, Miss American Pie,
drove my Chevy to the levi,
but the levi was dry...." :-)
I grew up with a Golden Delicious Apple Tree growing in the front yard, they made excellent pies, cakes, sauces and baked apples for us and all the neighbors
But when you were "in Greece", Rod,
you prefered Cava Boutari Greek wine, eh?
You were with us, Aphrodite and myself,
and Despina from Germany took the photos to prove it :-)
Thanks, Judy,
We have a general meeting tomorrow, and we'll see what plans can be made for SKETBE to have a new office, maybe even a center to hold other exhibits...and maybe with a cafe, even! I will be letting you all know what is in the works.
We got 16 inches of snow and finally it is over. It is 28 degrees F with an 18 degree F windchill and yes here comes the wind to blow the white stuff around.
Judy, Judy, Judy...
Ya see what happens when a guy from Chicago
moves into the White house? He has to bring the
Midwest winter to feel "at home" ;-)
The only "white stuff" I wish to see at Christmas
in Greece is atop the kourabiedes!
and some nice hot chocolate would be nice too, Rod.
Have some with the kouura..kourehbe...
eh, with the almond cookies! ;-)
You two look so nice and warm and bundled up!
Bringing the 2010 Greek Vasilopita here to the CAFE.
At midnight New Year's Eve, we'll slice it,
a piece for each member, and there is a fidden coin inside,
whoever gets it, is blessed with good fortune all the New Year!
(oh, wait...92 pieces...? we'll each get a crumb?)
Aha! The HIDDEN coin in the Vasilopita was exactly in the middle of the cut between Judy's and Susan's pieces :-)
Happy, Lucky, Healthy New Year 2010 to you gals!
Happy New Year to all at IUOMA!
Talking again in 2010... Oh! No photo's please! I didn't put on my make-up yet and my hair is a mess with the detritus of a million fireworks and flakes of sausage roll pastry... and my eyes look like two adjacent black holes...
