Lovely collaborative collage Ti Ar Raden and Moan Lisa :)

This is my most recent collage which I made by saving bits of magazine and ad images where the colors are side by side, and then I cut circle shapes from the bits to glue on a background of black and white strips. It is a 5" x 7" postcard which was mailed to a recipient from the Circle group.

  • Grace Sanford

Here is an 8" x 10" collage I  made using the same technique as the postcard. It is titled "On the Cutting Edge."

5" X 7" postcard. I was awarded a nomination for The TrashPo Litzer Prize - Landfill of Fame with this postcard as my first attempt at TrashPo. :) It was declared to be in the category of aesthetic TrashPo.

  • Grace, your 'cutting edge' and circles collages are brilliant!!

Can someone suggest a good permanent glue or paste for use to adhere glossy photos/cards/etc to other glossy photos/cards/etc. I've been reduced to using rubber cement, but would love something else if anyone has suggestions.

    Thanks

  • William M

you could try spray mount. most of my collage work is done with a combination of glue stick and double stick tape. sometimes both together on a single piece of paper. i avoid things like mod podge as it melts(in warmer climates) and then sticks to other things.

my wifey Li just gave me a bottle of a bookbinder's glue called BindArt. I haven't tried it on the glossy stuff yet, but it does have a better lay-flat reaction on paper to paper glueing. Thx WilliamM. BTW I love your work! I've been thinking of sending you some mail.
