  • Heleen de Vaan

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Good to see that the "onions" arrived, Heleen!

There are many a "BLUE print" out there in the mail.

Dolphins? I did send a couple of "fish" to Adamandia in Chicago.

  • Guido Vermeulen

More Onion Blues from Katerina Nikoltsou

    Onion Elephant!!!!

    Thank you very much, Katerina!!!

I'll post it on 'real weird animals' later (now it's 1.15 am, time to sleep in this part of the world) (and time to dream of onions and elephants, accompanied by lovely music :-)

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Glad to see that the Onion Elephant arrived, Heleen!

Wait for the "hedge hogs" :-)

    More onion prints coming...

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

  • Heleen de Vaan

    Onion Hedgehog!

(and reflection!) (and a green - Katerina, green, are you allright? - background!)

From Katerina. Thank you very much!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

A little bit of onion on green, yes indeed

...getting ready to move to red and pink soon ;-0

'Glad the hedgehogs arrived for Weird Animals!!

  • Heleen de Vaan

    You're brave!

  • vizma bruns

Did someone say red and pink? :-)

  • Heleen de Vaan

Yes, because Katerina already has used yellow and green. So now red is on turn, and pink. And then via violet and turquoise back to blue. As long as it is no orange :-)

  • Heleen de Vaan

(Sorry, I forgot that this groups is about onions, not about colours.. By the way, these onions are yellow anyway (geel, jaune, желтый, gelb, gialla, dzeltens, κίτρινο, as the package says clearly, not orange).)

  • vizma bruns

??? What's wrong with orange?? Don't you like orange, Heleen? It's my favourite!!

  • Jennifer Jones (JJalltheway)

Here here for orange! You know onions are a little orange on the outside ;)

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Greek onions are purple on the outside,

    rarely can I find "blonde-brown onions" :-)

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Just a peek : Hot Pink and Orange it is...and Red, too.

(New series getting ready for Feb 14?)

No onions, no tears, only HEARTS!

  • Jennifer Jones (JJalltheway)

Love it!!! I love orange and red together. I'm making you an orange valentine today!!

  • Heleen de Vaan

    @ Vizma's Q: what's wrong with orange? Heleen's A: I always thought 'nothing'. Until I saw this :-)

But no way that I am allowed to don't like orange. It's our obliged national colour, and dress code, especially at certain occasions, like this, and this.
[And I'm afraid that Eva, and you, won't send me any mail anymore if I would dare to say that I prefer turquoise to orange, shhh don't tell...]

To get back to the subject: look, I found an orange onion!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

But, Heleen, you do eat oranges,yes?...and orange onions !

Understandable why people in the Nederland might be sick of seeing orange...sigh.

  • Heleen de Vaan

Please don't understand me wrong: I (have to) love the colour orange! Orange unites the Dutch!
And indeed I love to eat clementina mandarines! Raw carrots! Onions!

Even the house of my first ever punniked mail art mail snail is Orange!

  • Eva (Mail Adventures)

I must confirm that Heleen sends tons of orange mail.

I don't know about the orange onions or the orange food that she eats, though). I just know that she eats a lot of cheese, but it's just because she loves mail art, of course.

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Yes, Eva...that is a lot of orange cheese art from Heleen,

I think there were only two from Greece...

CHEESE = ART (as Erni always says, too) :

  • Eva (Mail Adventures)

But the Greek contributions are really wonderful!

  • Jennifer Jones (JJalltheway)

Wow Heleen, that Oliver the Orange Onion is really something. Who knew an onion could be such a marketing icon? And those Dutch orange crowds!! Gorgeous! I must attend a Dutch football game someday to be in a sea of Orange like that!

  • vizma bruns

Wow!! See you there, Jennifer!!! I'd looove to be in a sea of orange, like that! My mood was lifted from seeing that page!

Heleen, I'll send you all the turquoise that comes into my studio, and you can send me orange, ok? All the blue stuff goes to Kat!!

  • Heleen de Vaan

Dolph(on)i(o)ns! Created by Katerina - thank you very much!

And Katerina even used som yellow, and a Blue Onion, to create this Platypus! (also posted here) (and here

Vizma, good idea to send you Orange! Only I will have to divide all my orange, so far a lot of Orange did go and has to go to Eva, who loves Orange, too!..

By the way, Eva: did you receive Onion cheese so far?

Concerning the colours to send to me, feel free to choose, as besides Turquoise I also love Violet, light bright Green, burnt-umber Brown, clear bright Yellow, Black (and White) and... light yellowish Orange!..
and all colours, in fact, as long as they together show a nice picture.

  • Eva (Mail Adventures)

Not onion cheese yet. Neither union cheese.

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)
