Here are some earrings I made the other day - handpainted (very thin) wood with crystal rhinestones - I also painted and sealed the earring backs to be blue. ;)

Greek sea blue:

I am blue because of my Mom passing away last Sunday afternoon.  Her favorite color was blue and she used it in most of her artwork (she was a painter, a lithographer, a fabric designer, an art teacher, and lots of other things as well as the mother of myself and my three younger brothers).  Here she is at an opening at the Richmond Art Center a few years ago in front of a painting made up of 25 4" x 4" acrylic paintings joined together in a frame.  She was always trying new things.  I have this painting on my bedroom wall.
