In the context of the annual Days of Craft in Saxony, Germany, Miniaturendrechslerei Uhlig will present an international Mail Art exhibition dedicated to regional craftsmanship and artisanal traditions.
We invite artists worldwide to submit a Mail Art piece referencing a craft tradition from their own region — historic or contemporary.
Possible approaches include:
depiction of tools or workshops
interpretation of traditional techniques
use of regionally significant materials
conceptual reflections on making and manual knowledge
The exhibition seeks to highlight the diversity of global craft cultures and their relevance today.
Each participant will receive a small thank-you gift.
