You are invited to participate in our **2026 Mail Art collection, in partnership with SEEDS.** The theme, of course, is... seeds! This is open to your interpretation, as literal or metaphorical as you like.
**What is mail art?** It is mail which is art, or, if you like, art that you mail. The easiest way to approach mail art is to create a postcard! Mainly, the idea is that art itself is being mailed, rather than being enclosed in something.
**What is a mail art "call?"** It is an invitation to send your art to an address where it will be gathered, collected, and put on display. We generally get contributions from across the world! This year we are partnering with SEEDS; art will be mailed there and put on display. (We've done previous collaborations with Letters Bookshop, Backyard Butterflies, and the Scrap Exchange.)
**Who can participate?** EVERYONE! Open to all ages, to people anywhere in the world. Feel free to share the invitation with folks you know who'd enjoy it!
**How do I do it?**
- Create some art on the theme "seeds." - Use any techniques you like: collage, draw, paint, stamps, photos, stickers, multimedia, etc. - Most art sent postcard-style will only need a regular postcard stamp. - Some people like doing "envelope art" (regular stamp); you can put a note in the envelope if you want to. - Anything heavy, bumpy, fragile, or oddly shaped shaped should be marked "please hand cancel" and given extra postage.
