MAIL ART PROJECT

An intercultural WW1 project between young people based in the North East of England and international locations

Marking the Centenary of the First World War, this mail art project for young people (aged 11-25 years) aims to create cross-cultural dialogue and exchange through research and visual art. Theresa Easton, the North East of England Project Manager and Visual Artist, will be working with young people in her region.  The young people will develop creative skills which will be used to make Mail Art which interprets their understanding of WW1 heritage in relation to project themes including:

Trench Art

Women & the War

People’s Stories

If you work with young people and are interested in developing a project with young people in the UK please contact: theresa_easton@yahoo.co.uk or check out http://theresaeaston.wordpress.com for information about book art projects.
