I received some beautiful book pages to use on a gelli plate and a fantastic print from Carien van Hest.

Thank you very much!! When finished I’ll post the result.

That’s beautiful, Carien. Interesting technique.

In this work I printed a few layers. I finally blurred the lower part with a cloth dampened with water, to create a lake in the forest.

Here is a Gelli Print with collage. I used some metallic gold and like the results.

I was happy about the layering achieved on this one. Gelli prints are always a surprise.

Carien, I was wondering if you ever received this gelli print. It was sent soon after I joined this group.

Most recent gel press creations: paper quilt style handmade postcards made with some recent printed papers.

Sil, the left one is a photo I use to transfer: be sure you roll a thin layer of black acryl paint on your gelli plate. Thin is essential here! Put your transfer picture on the plate and rub. Remove. Wait until the ink is dry. Apply another color on your plate, preferably a light color. It doesn't have to be as thin as the first layer. Now you can pull a print from the plate (right).

I cleaned some areas of the original (left).

Experiment with the pictures you use.Coated paper is often difficult.Try newspaper pictures, because the ink in newspapers is still a bit wet and will easily transfer.

N.B. you can buy a silicone baking mat as a gelli plate! (3 euro at Blokker).

Good luck en show us the results.
