A card from James Chester. Wonderful work. Thank you!

Did you enveloped it, James? Because there was no stamp - nor a postal fine.

Gelli plate prints by Pam Chatfield.

What a wonderful result, Pam, thank you very much!

Hi Carien, I agree, there are so many different techniques that can be done with this.  I'm having so much fun with it and YouTube has become my new TV watching.  I'm impressed with the art people are making with these gelli plates.

Hi Pam, don't you think a gelli plate is a fine instrument to experiment with paper, layers and paint? There are also loads of tuts on YT. So nice you put your work here, thank you.

My first gelli print attempts.  First I tried a couple with a stencil on deli paper.  That seemed to work pretty well so I moved on to other papers.  This is going to take patience, but it's fun.

Then I tried three layers on watercolor paper.  Parts look good and parts stuck to the plate.

Second attempt with three layers on watercolor paper.  More stuck to the plate with this one.

Three layers on pages from a book.  This one worked the best.

This was made with a stencil I cut from plastic packaging. I love gelliplate printing!

I started this painted envelope on the gelliplate and added the finer details with pastels and pencil.
