Pareidolia

(Mostly) visual meaning in a seemingly meaningless organisation of objects or subject matter. A leading line to the recognisable.

Most commonly exhibited through perceived faces, as there is an inherent social instinct to recognise another, alot of the time - especially in unknown places.

This group is here for members to capture the visual phenonema of pareidolia and share with other members. Feel free to share anything that you find interesting to do with this subject. All the best :-)

Learning of the eye: The key thought is that beauty is in what we have learned to appreciate, and not just in what is obvious.

must admit, of course, that I am also reminded of Munch's 'The Scream.' I am not saying that like-mindedness is automatically a bad thing, but it is worth considering: Recognition.
The eye does not rejoice in what it sees, but in what it has dared to recognize. We do not search for beauty; we acquire it. Beauty is the trained reflex of an eye scavenging through the waste of the past. There is a wealth of literature on this subject (both in alternative and scientific disciplines), but it simply suits some to keep us like grains in a matchbox.

Ah, thank you ! If you look further into the picture and see the other puddles, you could most likely make more faces from the street. All down to that upside-down triangle formation.

Street cry by DDW. How cute! Unbelievable, but I actually find it quite attractive...
