Are you an introverted artist (or an introvert sympathiser) with a passion for Miniature Art? Do you think big but work really, really small?
This group might be for you.
If you're not sure though, why not take this simple self-assessment:
Do you like the following:
1. Crowds/crowded places.
2. Social obligations.
3. Bright lights.
4. A lot of noise.
5. Social Media overload.
6. Staying home with your cat/dog/bunny/bird/fish/ iguana/you get the idea/as opposed to being 'out there'.
7. Pyjamas.
If you answered NO to items 1 - 5 and YES to items 6 & 7, you are invited to join us in creating and exchanging mixed media/painting/illustration/collage/simple/complex/minimalist/messy/maximalist works of art: 5" by 5" (12.5cm by 12.5cm) or smaller.
But wait, there's more...
The subject matter is open except for explicit and disturbing themes, political crap that could start aggro etc., (read my profile - it's grumpy (I'm not) but to the point).
Interpretations of introversion work well; its impact, the fun bits, the not so fun bits, unique perspectives and experiences. But really, it can be any art (except the exclusions mentioned above) as long as it's made by hand. And it's small. Even tiny.
Exhibitions
I'm looking into possible exhibition ideas here in the hinterlands of Ireland. That may sound like it wouldn't work but people love an excuse to get dressed up to go look at stuff.
Occasional Pop-Up Themes
Throughout the year there will be random, themed Pop-Ups - based on input from members.
Unless, of course, no one joins. In that case it will just be me and my 5 cats distressing all the furniture.
