Sand Book

I´ll be making a Sand Book by the Paraná River, at Rosario´s public beach in May.

There´s a Perfomance meeting 5, 6 and 7 th May and I´ll be writting along the riverside all the words related to the shore.

I´m inviting you to write here all your ideas, thoughts and poetry about this to include it in my sandbook. You can also add images that I´ll print and set at the beach, or send postcards of you own shore....

Do someone want to make some Sandbook at the same time?

We can share photos and ideas. Let me know...

No... I couldn´t recolect driftwood, althoug I´d like to.

It´s summer now and the man who cleans the beach recolect all very early in the morning.

He also recolect my work and leave for the dustman.

I use pruned litlle branches from trees of my own garden that grew too big. Lapacho and laurel sticks.

I´ll keep driftwood in mind for the next event...

Summer in Argentina...what a beautiful thought on a cold, drizzly day in Greece.

But come May 5, 6, 7, I shall be at the Aegean Sea, sand beaches of Halkidiki,

perhaps with a few other Greek mail artists, and we shall participate in your

Sand Book performance (although the time zones will mean that we will be at

the beach in the middle of your night...) But YES will be sending sandpo images

for you to put on your beach...send some to Greece so we can put on our beach!

Poetry...about golden sand...for the Sand Book:

from the poem "DENIAL" by the Greek poet, Georgos Seferis

Πάνω στην άμμο την ξανθή
γράψαμε τ' όνομά της·
ωραία που φύσηξεν ο μπάτης
και σβήστηκε η γραφή....

On the golden sand
we wrote her name;
but the sea-breeze blew
and the writing vanished....

...and I think I've just been inspired for  a sandpo boekie in the making ;-)

The Paraná River is so wide... has lots of islands in the middle (sorry, my english is not good) and is so generous, that we can have a bath in its waters. 

We had a great deal in another river: Uruguay by Gualeguaychú coast (little touristic city with beautifull beaches), cause of the BOTNIA paper plant, on the other side...Althoug lot of people were manifesting against the plant for almost two years $$$$$$$$$$$ always money wins!!! and the plant is working nowadays :(

In May, the beach in Greece will be at Nea Kallikrateia in Halkidiki, about 35 km. south of Thessaloniki.
