The format, instructions and sizing for Project 26. This project follows the same format as the Alexander book. Please use a firm paper as this helps the book remain strong in the binding process.
Instructions:
Commercial paper size - A4 - about 30cm x 21cm. Take the paper and cut in half lengthwise.
Fold the sheets and slot one into the other. This gives each person a 4 page little boekie - folded size - 15cm x 10.5 cm. Horizontal format. We REPEAT! You will have to make 26 copies and post 25 to each of the participants. One of the the reasons for this size if that is is the cheapest to post. Start postage saving! Hand embellishments to your copies will enhance their appeal so go for it!

Cheryl, I have a question, just to organize my thoughts. Can this booklet we obtain be worked on as an individual booklet? it has an opening 'facade' and a closing 'facade', can these pages be used for titles and the back for personal stamps or it has to blend into the book? Sorry for adding extra questions, I know you are busy trying to sort everybody out. I have worked on other big collective book projects and they are all different so I need to know my limits in this one...lol!
all the best
Hey TICTAC - no problem :-) As each person is dealing with a SINGLE letter, the opening page SHOULD give a good indication of the content. Each person's section is a FULL section - for eg - you are dealing with T - your pages should begin and conclude the T section. To be honest - I think I may need 3 page, not 2 in order to finish my letter B - that decision is going to be for the artist - 2 or 3 folded pages, it matters not - just more work! You have got the note that you have to copy your section 25 times and post to everyone on the list - we all get a complete book at the end of this project? Sorry to mention that but there appears to be some confusion there. Have I answered correctly??
P.S. I am beginning my section today - time permitting (!) and will post it asap - that way everyone will have an example.
Hey Helen - 160grm - 220gm board?
oops! no need for the hinge yet, because (as i CAREFULLY read the instructions) there is no binding yet. Will wait for further instructions :-)
No binding or hinges this time - the book will be bound as a single entitty with at the moment a four-hole pamphlet stitch binding - but when the wind blows later, maybe that will change :-) Whatever happens, the suggestions will be WELL documented x
