Full description :
“It’s crucial, don’t look away” (in French : C'est capital, ne détourne pas le regard) is the title of our Mail art call, which aims to draw attention both to the limits of the capitalist system and to the alternatives to it.
We're aware that we're part of a system whose future it's hard to predict, but we're convinced that it's possible to do something about it, so we've decided to open a space in Florennes where people's aspirations for a better world can converge. The central theme is the capitalist system.
Florennes is a small rural commune in Belgium. Here, as in so many other places around the world, there are people who are committed to building this better world, who are fighting to preserve what is valuable, who are thinking about and building other possibilities and participating in the circulation of strong ideas along these lines. Here, as in so many other places, we need to be nourished by other views, other understandings and other fundamental experiences, with the aim of bringing them to the forefront of collective and political attention.
If this approach makes sense to you, we invite you to take part in the “It’s crucial, don’t look away” Mail Art call.
This appeal is an invitation to draw attention to :
- Fights for a good life for everyone, everywhere,
- New ideas that need to be heard,
- Emerging experiments that need to be expanded,
- Solidarity that sets an example,
- That which is neglected, damaged and must be protected,
- The things that make the world a better place and that you want to highlight.
