Mailart exhibition celebrating the Beat Generation and Beat culture past, present and beyond. Produced by Los Angeles poet S.A. Griffin and Beyond Baroque Director Richard Modiano, Beyond Beat is a series of events at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center, Venice, CA, March 8-12, 2018. Mailart exhibit up for the entire month of March, opening night March 8, 2018. Participants from around the U.S. and abroad include David Amram, George Herms, Frank T. Rios, V. Vale, Neeli Cherkovski, Brian Chidester, Steve Silberman, Phoebe MacAdams-Ozuna, Eve Brandstein, Will Alexander, Tate Swindell, Bill Woodbury, Lorraine Perrotta, Mike M Mollett, Doug Knott, M. Lane Bruner, S.A. Griffin, Richrd Modiano, Tosh Berman and others. Beat, Neo-Beat, the intersection of Punk & Beat, Madness and the creative process, Women of the Beat Generation, Bob Kaufman, Gay & Beat, Venice West, Herbert Huncke, Southern California Coffee House Culture in the 1950s-60s, Beat in the 21st Century, Hollywood and Beat, etc.
