Thanks for this opportunity. It made me think a bit differently about point of view, moving further away (lit. and fig.) and it also made me think about all of the science-fiction I've read and how people would communicate. I liked the idea that a mail bag would go into the space out there, rather than an electronic communication, and I was imaging that. What did you think about when you sent something to this 'event?'

Actually a work I made was really sent to Mars. In digital form though. The image was placed on a CD that joined one of the satelites that the USA sent to Mars. Received a certificate and a copy of that CD to to proof it from the ESA (European Space Agency) years ago. More mail-artists sent their work that time to space and it also was published in the press....

This is the official Certificate from the Nasa some years ago that proves that some of my Mail-Art went to Mars. This is no joke, but for real!
I don't know why, I'll have to think about this, but this made me feel a bit teary-eyed. The wonder of it! To think of journey-ing into space to understand. Thank you for sharing this, Ruud.
