I sent an e-mail this morning as a form of artwork delivery. I could just as easily have printed it off my computer and put it in the mail. Except, I couldn't because I didn't have a physical mailing address but the mail would have been my auto default. I could call this Envelope no. 3 from me to an IUOMA member but it wasn't in an envelope.
For those who want to draw their lines neatly, what have I just done?
Have I sent mail art
Have I sent e-mail art
Have I sent digital art
Have I sent copy art
Have I sent ephemeral art
Have I sent art
Have I started up a correspondence
What have I done?
PS. I have categorised this as Mail-Art Discussions. What have I done?

You've sent an ''e-mail'' art piece by electronic email. To me, real mail art is done through postal system (physical piece)
I agree, Predrag; it is not my number 3. Now, what if I hand deliver something - because of geographical proximity and economic necessity - but it is in an envelope and uses postage stamps (cancelled or artistamps)? Would I count that as mail art?
That would happen rarely. In my opinion, even if you deliver something ''by hand'' and not through official postal system, it is still delivered in the same manner, and therefore, it is mail art. Suppose you have another mail artist/s in the same city, and you deliver to them by yourself, that would be fine by me. That way, you become your own postman (postwoman) :)
