Wow from the 16 od December until the 12 or so of January...that's a month! Is it because of the back-up at the South Africa post offices? Is that both for mail going out...and for mail coming in? sigh. Snail mail it is...will be patient and wait.

Thank you, Cheryl! Two amazing mail art envelopes were waiting for me when I arrived home from my trip to Athens. They are "blogged" on the main page, oh yes! And tell me, what date did you send them out...more than two weeks ago? Slow...but well worth the wait! Thank you xxx

Thanks Cheryl...I understood after i was in bed last night: you will show us the binding method AT THE END of the project. Excellent idea. Now I doNOT have to connect my pages in any way. hmmm, they may slip around, however.

My mom came to my loft for a visit and was soooo amazed at your Landscape boekie- she could not get over the fact that I'm trading with such spectacular artists!  I'm often gobsmacked myself- and I keep running out of words for "amazing."  Beautiful work, Cheryl!! YOU are Fab!

Two minutes to 2 p.m. and the "first editions" of "H" for HOMER are in the mail pick-up box! We know that you will have to be patient for at least 10 days maybe two weeks...but it shall come to you (if the monkeys don't get it first!).

My mail pick-up box on the corner clearly states that mail is really picked up by 2 p.m. However, I asked the green-grocer who has his shop just across the way, if he ever SAW the postal truck, a pick-up, or anything, and at what time? Nada. It is a mystery, cheryl, noone has actually SEEN the postal pick-up!

Yet, it must happen because mail art that I send off to Erni in Germany at noontime, often arrives at his doorstep in 32 hours! So SOMEONE is picking up the mail and sending it off to all corners of the globe.

Have to state, however, that today, January 5, may not be the postal mark on your envelope...we shall see. Today truck drivers, buses, metro, etc. are on strike (maybe planes, dunno) and tomorrow, January 6, is a holiday: Feast of the Three Kiiings", and Friday most postal workers might have a day-off...no postal work on Saturdays or Sundays...sooooooooo

while I really did get your "H" in the mail box for pick-up, there is a possibility that it won't happen until MONDAY! OMG...January 10. I shall be VERY interested to see that when, and if, "H" arrives at your door, what the cancellation date will be. A "miracle" of January 5? That would be lovely!

Ok- to change your background: go to "Manage My Page" and click on "Appearance" under "My Page Settings".  Then pick a theme (I picked a plain colored one so that images I install would pop.) Under that option is "Now Make it Unique".  Go to the "All Options" tab. There are two spaces where you can import pictures from your hard drive, one is "Side Image" and one is "Header Image".  Here you can choose to tile, repeat image, repeat horizontally, or repeat vertically. There is also an option to insert an image in the body of the page, but for me, this made it hard to read any text, so I left mine plain.  It took a couple of tries for me to get the tiling right and to make sure all of the text was the correct color, but it's pretty easy once you know where to look.  Bon Change!

Hey there Blue Eyes, I got your boekie today and spent a good time just feeling it.  It is incredibly moving.  I see the baked, dry landscape, encaustic?  And the pins are really quite jarring.  Must spend some more time with it...
