'Tis already 2013 in Oz?

Happy, happy!

Ooh! Greek bubbles!? But it's written in French! Was it yummy? Is that a Rodos bubbly trash mail art card too?

Happy New Year Vizzers and Vallers! (that's you, Kat!!) We're having BOILING weather here, cheers!

28 January = Oz Day

What sort of party have you got planned for us all??

If you arrive on that date you'll be two days late, Val.

My Dutch Diary, which is always right, definitely says that Monday 28 January is 'Nationale Feestdag, Australie'.

Satturday 26 January, 2 days earlier, is 'Dag van de Republiek, India'.

Why don't I arrive on the 27th, and then we could have an Indian meal, and then some good Oz beer?

Your diary is speaking Double Dutch, but your new plan is a good one! Yes, come over for a Feest, and don't forget a prezzy for Pinky!

Don't let the label fool ya, Viz,

the bubbly comes from Rhodos since 1928, and is nice, ...was nice!OPA!

Aha! 26 January is Australia Day

(I nominate Vizma Burns/Bruns as Australian of the Year!)

Maybe if Val and I arrive in Oz on 28 January, we can all celebrate

Dean Marks' birthday??? hahaha!

And it's Pinka's birthday on the 26th too!!

If only I'd known that Rhodos makes bubbly! Now I'll just have to come back! I need that foil top and metal cap for my collection Kat!

And Jackson Pollock's birthday too!

January 28:

How are you doing Viz? HOT Summer in Oz!

The news says that it is still very hot there, record breaking heat!

Hope you are nowhere near the wildfires. Take care sweetie!

Thanks Momkat! Yes, it's been boiling, too hot to get mail even! I have to wait until the evening to go outside for the long walk. People are getting sunstroke and fainting a lot. So I'm keeping up my liquids!!!!

OPA!!! xxx

IT SNOWED here last night, Vizma -- a once-every-five--years-occurence. I complained to the Assistant Mayor at a reception, and asked if I could have a refund on my local residence taxes as I didn't come to the South of France for the cold and ice and snow. She said 'Non' (but gave me a kiss to make me feel better. i did feel better, but not better enough.)

So I was wondering if I could come and see you in Oz -- a once-in-a-lifetime-occurence -- as you seem to have some super warm weather there?

PS My forthcoming exhibition of 'faux' Aborigine art is called 'Dreamings & Wandrerings', and, of course, Waitapinga features in it.
